Muschamp wouldn't take Ukwuachu transfer

quote:

Florida considered taking Ukwuachu in May 2013, but then-Gators coach Will Muschamp decided against it after a Boise State athletic department employee detailed Ukwuachu's troubles with a girlfriend, according to two former Florida athletic department employees.

quote:

"There was no way," one of the former Florida employees told The Inside Read of Ukwuachu. "[Muschamp] wouldn't touch him."

quote:

But the Boise State athletic department employee was clear about Ukwuachu's issues, according to the former Florida staffer.

Said the ex-Florida official: "There was absolutely no doubt."

So that is now two Division I athletic departments/coaches, who have come right out and called Briles a liar concerning being forthright with information. I wonder how many more recognize Briles as a lying piece of shite.

Good job Florida. Obviously the right decision.

If Urban Meyer wouldn't take him, I think one would have the grounds to execute Art Briles.

An Urban Meyer fan here?

Dude had a serial killer, thieves, burglers, druggies, an eye-gouger, domestic abusers, and a guy who choked an assistant coach without consequence on the SAME ROSTER. I'm not sure who could argue that Urban loves him some thugs. Let's see, he also manipulated a police investigation to "clear" a safety that broke into a tow yard and stole his car out so that he could play in a big game the next weekend.

Let's just say, Urban can't spell "ethics" or "integrity."

You are misunderstanding. The point was if you could show that Urban Meyer wouldn't take the guy, then you'd be on to something. Will Muschamp kicked like 25 guys off the Florida team when he took over there.

So to make it where you can understand it, is there an article that says Ohio State wouldn't take him?

This is like the top story on Si.com. The nation likes Baylor news.

You are really missing the point of this article, which showed that Boise was forthcoming with info regarding the transfer with the Florida staff, which would mean they likely were with Baylor as well.

Go back to ranting about Urban Meyer though

I don't think the casual or even die-hard fan really cares about this. This is one of those things that the media thinks is a big deal and they want it to be a big thing, but it just isn't. Like DJ Fluker getting paid or Eddy Lacy allegedly manipulating his grades, the story just doesn't move the needle.

Well, I think this has implications throughout college football, so it just "news".

However, I'm glad to hear that there were no Penn State threads here a few years ago...oh, wait.

Again, if he was too big a risk for Urban Meyer, you'd be on to something. This is just the media trying to make this a thing on a national level. If Art Briles has to be held accountable for Ukwuachu's actions, let those fools in Waco pull the trigger on him. I don't think SI needs to be beating this drum, though.

This still has nothing to do with Urban Meyer

I had forgotten about that. Les made a joke about football and academics, clearly he is a lying scumbag and all the players were told to do whatever they want. It was quite the inference from second and third-hand accounts.

No one is saying it does. AGAIN, one last time for you. This news would be interesting and tell us something about what Boise may have told people IF IT WAS URBAN MEYER. It isn't, therefore, this story is pretty much useless. Muschamp kicked off tons of kids from Florida teams. Basically, plenty of guys are too big a risk or headache for Will. But, please, continue bleating on like you don't understand.

They can do whatever they want. Just because you have a hard on for Baylor having hard times, doesn't mean anyone else gives a shite.

Well no, we are the type of people who look the other way when our coaches enable rapists and thugs. We wants wins, nothing more.

But for those with a less fricked up value system (aka not overvaluing the relevance of a sport played by teenage kids we don't personally know) the concept of a Baptist university enabling a rapist and prioritizing him over the comfort of the victim is kinda a story.

I wish we didn't have to be impressed by someone not bringing a woman-beater on board, but with that said, good for Florida. Baylor is looking worse by the day.
