A&M is definitely in the top 12. Clemson does not belong in the top 10. USC is in the back end of the top 10 right now.

Hard to argue that list. Except maybe TCU being top 25. They've been good, but that's driven because of Patterson.

But the fact that most of the SEC is in the top 50 shows how great our conference is.

Having the most schools in the top 25 for coaching jobs says it all

why don't we just ban all threads that do not say Alabama is number one in everything for all time and all the rest are nothing

I just think that at some point you have to stop looking at all the reasons we "think" Texas should be a great job and realize that since 1971 it has not been even a Top 10 job. Post D-Royal they have finished in the Top 25 in 24 of 38 years (13 of those 24 under Mack Brown). They have finished in the Top 10 10 of those 38 years (6 under Mack Brown). It's a place you can win big, obviously, but I just don't think it is the "above everyone else" spot that people say it is. With all that money comes strings and rich, arrogant, out of their element people trying to be involved.

This is spot on and insightful. I default to the TX is a great job with money and in state talent position but at some point it is not a top job if no one wins. They're rhe 1 college blue blood that you always forget to add to this list until the end "oh yeah and Texas" just because you know - hook'm horns and all that....

Ok what do you want to base it off of? The last 5, 10 , 15 ? Bret did much better at Wisconsin then Arkansas and since he left Wisconsin they have done just as good as his last 3 years record wise.

Fsu isn't a better job than Florida. Our last coach just made it look hard.

I would agree totally. I am not sure Texas is a top 3 job right now either

You shouldn't base it solely off any amount of years. I'm sure you think Texas is a good job but by that logic they wouldn't even be in the top 25. You should be looking at fan support, facilities, conference, recruiting access, money and a few other things could be looked at as well

FYI, I don't have a problem with Wisconsin being ahead of Arkansas

22. Miami

Way too low still and top 15 job despite facilities, fan base and money. In the last
30 years the school has 4 NC's over 3 straight decades with FOUR different HC's.
No other school can make that claim.

Their access to talent would be the main (and only) reason to put them up there.
If you look at the talent that's produced from Tampa down to metro Miami every
year NO other team in this list has as much talent available in their backyard.
