Another reason is that they’re 3 all time in NFL draft picks behind USC and Norte Dame an first all time in first round draft picks so lots of talent....

Clemson’s last two CFP performances makes it clear that his defense feasts on typical college level QB skill level and intimidation.
Stuff the line, stop the run and swarm the QB into a panic and throw in a lot of late play clock alignment readjustments.

Not a pro coach. You don’t work to team into a frenzy with a locker room fire brand pep speech before big games. Player talent level has greater parity due the salary cap also.
Not sure his Schemes work either.
One benefit is you don’t need to win every game.

NFL was very uncreative back in the ‘70’s and the small all purpose back which is so popular now wasn’t a schematic.
It was power football with a two back set. Today he’d be a hell of a weapon in a hybrid run pass combination roll....

Best is in quotes because it’s conjecture. An opinion based on the eyeball test made by humans with their own notions and biases.

I don’t care about deserving. This year is just an anomaly and I simply want entertainment on January 1st. I don’t’ want conference rematches like ND Clemson III
Give me USC in the Rose Bowl vs Bama with all that historic pageantry. Or vs OSU which was a classic rivalry or ND for that matter....
