I know they were highly ranked coming into college but don't you kinda see a similarity between that guy homering about our young highly touted secondary being better than LSU and you loling at him saying the RB situation is close? He's excited because we have a lot of talent in the defensive backfield. You are excited over your young talent in the offensive backfield.

He literally used Harris (an incoming true freshman) as part of the reasoning why the advantage would swing back to Alabama.

You asked me what LSU has in the backfield, so I responded. Sure, I'm excited about our young talent in the backfield, but that's not the reason.

The reason basically everyone thinks LSU has a better backfield is because we have Fournette, and Drake is coming off an injury. On top of that, Fournette is considered the better back, anyway.

And LSU has really good, proven talent in the secondary. A secondary that was the best in the conference BY FAR last season.

There's a big difference.

Unless it's an injury depleted Ole Miss team... In that case, it matters.

Then you're just being a homer.

You're saying I'm excited about OUR running backs because they're young, contradicting the fact that the reason he said the advantage would swing to Alabama is because of YOUR freshman running back.

It's just silly.

Idk, call it 18-22 TDs and 2200-2500 yards and I think LSU would be rollin'

I don't remember Mett's 2012 stats, but something like that is all this offense really needs this year. Fournette and co just need the threat of a passing game.

In my opinion, what separates LSU's running back situation from anyone else's is the depth. In a lot of ways, I think it's going to be similar to what UGA had last year; if you say Fournette=Gurley, then a lot of reports are placing Guice=Chubb.
Guice has come into camp and absolutely has been lighting it up. If Fournette wasn't here, Guice would be the sure starter.

So does LSU have a better front seven or is the margin between them and Bama just not wi

Yeah bama has the edge but up to this point their front 7 isn't this immovable object or stacked with productive players.

Because of LSU's players. Chavis hasn't been there long enough to weed the pussies out of A&M

Desmond has picked Michigan St., A&M, Stanford, and Virginia Tech to win their conferences. He might be right, but as of now I think he's lost his damn mind.
