just because your program rebounded after other mediocre seasons doesn't mean it will this year. if that team from last year lost 6 NFL players, seems hard to predict they will be playoff team this year.
I question if that is best backfield in nation. lol they didn't do much in the bowl game.
I would think UGA has the best backfield.

That's why they're called "projections". We lost players to the NFL in all of our mediocre seasons as well.
As for UGA having the best backfield in the nation, we'll see about that. Nobody will be able to put 9-10 men in the box like they were able to at the end of last season. Not this year.

I don't see any reason at this time to be optimistic about QB. Replacing an undisputed top tier DC with a guy who hasn't called a defense in over 2 years and last time he did his D gave up 70 points is something we should wait and see on.
I can't imagine the QB situation being worse this year than last, so I think there may be some valid optimism in the logic of "the only way to go is up." And Steele did pretty good at first with Clemson, and he has way more talent now. I think there's reason to believe he'll have the defense performing at a high level next year, but I definitely am concerned about the future. Of course, you're right, the defense could completely flop next year if the schemes and strategies aren't right. I'm thinking that we go 9-3 with losses to Alabama, Auburn, and 1 more somewhere along the way. I won't be surprised to see a 2 game deviation from this either way, though.

kirk must have the contrarian role on that show. lol
I get that he's projecting, but projecting Okla into playoffs after last year bowl game would have been like Clemson being projected to BCS title game the year after WVA put 70 on us. i'd at least want to seem them in a game against two decent teams minimum.

players never get better which is why Arkansas won't be any good this year right?

Bama replaced their starting QB last year and had the #2 scoring offense in the SEC and was #4 in passing yards per game. LSU replaced their starting QB last year and was 13th in scoring and 14th in passing. Apples and oranges
Bama's QB was a fifth year player (with the best offensive player in the country imo by his side) ours a true sophmore, yeah...apples and oranges

Corso has LSU winning it all!!!!!
When is the last time a team won it all without quality depth in the front 7? One injury to Beckwith or Godchaux and your D might get torched. Time to pump the brakes?
