Most LSU people are pretty regarded
Yes, most are; but not at QB generally. We've swung and missed a lot there.

LSU could win it all along with 2 other SECW teams imo. It's going to be a crap shoot...

LSU is definitely a contender, but there is a lot that has to fall in place for LSU to actually win the conference.

I don't think you guys really understand the amount of talent LSU has on this team and the number of players they are returning this year, who now have experience. LSU has AT LEAST 12-15 future first or second round picks on this team. Literally nothing has to fall in place, LSU is already THAT GOOD this year......just get average QB play....you don't believe it now....that's fine...you will soon.....The Miss State game is going to be VERY FUN....of course, some people are starting to understand just how good LSU is right now......time will tell.

They didn't pick LSU by accident....they have observed Harris and know the kid is the real deal...and with him, teams will pay a big price trying to load the box...after getting burned they will have to spread the field and that LSU line will lead the way...Leonard Fournett.....D Guice....D Williams...Brossette....a Heisman 5-star leads another 5-star and 2 4 stars...fresh legs the entire game...fresh receivers the entire game....And DBU plus Coach O has coached the DL and the sack totals will jump from 19 to north of 30-35......

Those are some of the reasons both chose LSU. You'll find out soon enough.

Bama by a wide margin

Why? You lost your leading sack player and your 2nd best lb.

So does LSU have a better front seven or is the margin between them and Bama just not wide?

Slightly above average QB play an LSU wins 10+ this year

Possibly a tiny advantage at RB to LSU, but if Drake is fully back (and he seems to be) and Harris is the real deal, the advantage swings back to Bama.

Defensive front seven - Bama by a wide margin.

For sure. LSU's D-line is still unproven. Alabama's front 7 is going to be the best in the country.

DBs - with the way our young guys are looking in practice, I will actually give this unit to Bama as well.

Alabama's front 7 should be a lot better than LSU's, because Alabama should have the best in the country.

LSU has a guy regarded as a top 3 running back in the country, and two very solid guys behind him. All healthy.

Drake is awesome. However, he's coming off injury, and he'll be running behind a rebuilding line.

I don't know of a single expert that would give the advantage to Alabama right now.

I'm not that up to date on the RB rotation for the Tigers. Obviously LF is a stud, who is behind him on the depth chart and what kind of carries will they see?

And are you really gonna back a guy who says Alabama has a better secondary than LSU "because the young guys look good in practice?"

Nah man I didn't comment on that part of his post because I don't agree with him there. LSU clearly has the advantage over UA in the secondary. Not in question.

Williams was decent last year. Like 4.5-5 yards per carry, but he'll be the 3rd or 4th string guy this year.

Derrius Guice should be the 2nd back this year. He and Nick Brossette are both freshman who should have an impact.

Fournette is going to get around 22-23 caries per game, though, IMO. So, he's definitely the main feature in the backfield. It'll be similar to the 2013 season when Miles rode the back of Jeremy Hill.
