This make you sound like a dumbass
A schedule consisting of #124, #82, #73, #50, and #48
Will still be considered tougher than a schedule consisting of #250, #200, #42, #38, and #21. But looking at each schedule, which team has played the better competition?

quote:I have read the thread. In fact, I've already posted that I agree we don't need to be in the 'contenders' category. Now, I'm just wondering why Arky is? Worse record than us with a lower SOS and you're big argument is that y'all swept us at home. But then you're also saying we aren't a contender so why is it such a big deal that y'all swept us?
Why don't you read the thread before coming off as a cock sucking dumbass.
Oh and drewbie was flaming preseason that we were an also ran and our run had ended. I find it funny that he's so proud of the sweep when all preseason he was saying we were going to be shite this year.

Worse record than us

1. Arkansas swept a top 13 team on the road
2. Arkansas has not been swept at home
3. Arkansas is 6-3 with arguably the toughest early season SEC slate.
4. Arkansas just won a series against an RPI top 20 SEC team
5. Arkansas leads the league in team ERA(SCar 10th)
6. Arkansas was 2nd in the league in scoring heading into last weekend.(SCar near bottom)
7. Arkansas was 5th in the league in batting average(SCar last)

Our ace pitcher Jordan Montgomery is out indefinitely but I've heard he's scheduled to be back in 3-4 weeks. Once he's back in our starting rotation we will be contenders again.
Not sure where you're getting your info from, Montgomery might be pitching from the pen this weekend against the Vols if everything works out during the week.
I meant as a starter, wouldn't expect to see him back in our starting rotation until 3 weeks or so. Hopefully I'm wrong

OOC has no say in who wins the league crown
Did you or did you not say SEC crown and national seed/host in your post on page 2-ish?
You Sure Did
So I think OOC is relevant in those terms, no?

I always think it is funny when people do this. Why not just say you swept #13?

New polls come out today and have no clue, especially with how many polls there are.
Then you run into using the poll with the highest ranking which opens up an entire new can of worms.
This thread was never intended to be a troll thread, and by just using a loose ranking like that, I avoid a different path the thread could take.

Not at all. If Alabama plays all year like they are now, do you think their OOC is going to matter? No

Sure it will. your full resume is relevant for a national seed.

Your entire resume was relevant in determining whether or not you got a national seed.

The winner and 2nd place teams of the regular season are damn near locks for hosting with the winner being a shoe in for national seed.
Alabama will not stay that hot, we all know that. Using them as an example.

I don't disagree. Nothing you have said is inconsistent with "a team's entire resume is relevant to whether or not that particular team is a national seed."
