As I stated, more needs to be seen at this point.

You can't just forget about being swept at home. Your average is near the bottom of the league and your pitching , while improved against aTm, hasn't been stellar.

As I said, need to see it two weeks in a row.

So both Arky and SC have won 2 SEC series and lost one so what makes you think we don't need to see a little more out of Arkansas first?

Winning 2/3 against a bad opponent and then getting swept at home for the first time in your stadiums history isn't a good start.

Getting swept at home in baseball isn't a huge dagger in baseball. I think it is funny posters keep repeating in this thread like the location of a baseball game is relevant like it is in basketball or football. Quick, name the impact venues in baseball . . .

I know, people seem to forget that at one point we were 4-10 in the SEC last season before going on to win the East and make it back to the CWS.

BUT YOU LOST AT HOME. Your 5000 fans didn't make the difference. SHAME. You guys obviously can't play. Baum is the 96 United Center of baseball.

While crowd advantages certainly are not the influencer they are in basketball or football, teams do build themselves around their home park usually because that's what they play the most games in (in the SEC). For instance it's not a mistake UK recently has been built around a lot of power oriented left handed hitters and their RF fence goes out to just 310'. While that's a huge advantage at home for them, when they go on the road it's not quite as easy to crush balls over a 330-340' RF fence.

As for Arkansas, we probably have the toughest start to the conference season than anyone in the league.
You might be right but a lot of teams in tSEC still have a higher SOS even after your first few SEC series. And you keep contradicting your argument. You say we aren't a contender but are so proud of sweeping us as if that's what vaults Arky into contender status.

South Carolina was swept at home in their only true SEC test this season.
Who gives you the authority to judge that?

Alabama will have their shot to prove they aren't pretenders this week. Until then I have them pretending.

We all saw it. You got your arse whooped in Columbia. Made half your fanbase disappear for a week. You just have to wear it now.

I prefer to think of it as Old Trafford.

I'm going to have to disagree. A mentally weak ump can easily be influenced by the home crowd. There are more of these in college baseball than any other sport except maybe college basketball. I've seen a crowd get all over an ump for a borderline call and have the strike zone grow a bit on the next pitch. Don't underestimate the effect a crowd can have on a baseball game.

Do you even know wtf I was responding to? Saying Arky is our only SEC test thus far is not accurate.

It proves that we have a better record with a tougher schedule so how is Arky considered a contender when USC is a 'wait and see'? Congrats on sweeping us and all but you're still only one game better in the SEC.

Why are only the Cock fans the ones jimmy rustling in this thread? Nothing was said had about your team, other than you need consecutive weekends of good ball and that you need to hit and pitch more consistently than what you have been.

Our SoS is dragged down because we just so happened to have two of the lowest possibly rated teams in our OOC. We also scheduled a top 25 team on the road. Our schedule obviously prepared us better for SEC play. Seeing as how we became the first team to sweep SCar in Columbia for the first time since the 1990's.

This make you sound like a dumbass.....your SOS is what it says it is...period.

You can make your argument without this FWIW.
