Muschamp's teams also had shite offenses during those last 3 games that often went 3 and out. That would have a major impact on any defense. Since Malzahn's offense has averaged around 36 points against Alabama during the last two years, Muschamp wouldn't have to worry about having to prop up a shitty offense at Auburn

Bama beat a bad Florida team. Bama lucked up with a QB getting hurt. It works both works.

I heard these same reactions when Ellis Johnson was hired.

I love it how Aub's get so excited about what could happen 'next year.' "We are only missing this one piece to be the next Alabama..." Stop crying, you are auburn.

Johnson wasn't a bad hire, he's just old, runs too much soft zone that gets eaten alive by solid passing attacks, and our players just look confused as to where they are supposed to be.

We need someone on the field that can get after these guys and is a more aggressive coach schematically.

Yeah. Silly fans. No other fan base is so crazy as to look excitedly to the future.

We also heard the same reactions from Alabama fans when Malzahn was hired. He has owned Saban's defense, made it to the national championship in his first year, and still has a better record than Saban after his first two years

GusChamp would be bad news for the SEC...very bad news

I just watched "SEC Ready" again to get myself pumped up for this discussion. Once again, you're all neglecting the new guys. Boom would be a perfect fit at A&M. You know it. He knows it. And he wouldn't be put in that very uncomfortable position of recruiting against his last home.

Definitely had some success. He's only "owned" Saban's defense once, and that was this year. In 2010 he put up 324 whole yards, and in 2013 he put up 393. This was the only year he's even reached the 400 yard mark against Saban.

Always thinking about Auburn. I bet you would think about Auburn even if there wasn't an Auburn. That's how obsessed you are.

So I can't even say congrats in a thread? Ok then, I'll give you a few more days to simmer down.

He's a solid defensive football coach. So is Ellis Johnson, though. Gus's offense is always going to stress his defense. That's just the reality of playing that style.
