Alabama posters had enough of people making fun of their cities so they flipped the script. Cant we stay on subject?

The wife and I are actually planning a move to the gulf coast once my oldest is finished with HS. Tired of B'ham - kinda dragging these days.

Mobile is like a miniature New Orleans. They have two streets of a French Quarter, two streets of a Garden District, and a ghetto

Since Mobile was founded earlier and started Mardi Gras, wouldn't that make New Orleans a bloated Mobile?

the list only consists of mostly white suburbs that happen to be incorporated. the only incorporated town by Tuscaloosa is Northport, and it isn't white enough for the author of the article.

I think the thread has reached the consensus that New Orleans is the worst "best city" in Alabama.

One of the reasons for New Orleans growth is the ridiculous tax breaks the state has given the movie industry.

New Orleans is Mobile's daddy when it comes to Mardi Gras

But ya'll can have the moral victory of fussing over who started it i guess

New Orleans is a great city to come get drunk in, puke on
piss on and do all the things that you dont want people doing in your city.

It also has some of the worst crime rates in the country, some incredible areas of poverty, illiteracy, abysmal public education systems (one of the worst in the country) and corrupt governments.

But if you want to party, drink, work as a barback, waiter, cook, bouncer, bartender, or on a movie set, this might be your kind of town.

Fairhope not being on the list makes me know it is a joke. Also, Tuscaloosa >Auburn.
