Was on board with the people saying Blake Sims was going to be a joke and they made it to the college football playoff so what the hell do I know.

Good article. LOL @ saying Saban sounded frustrated.

Saban is talking to the quarterbacks, suggesting that one needs to take control and be consistent.simple stuff.

Bama lost a lot on O from last year. It's not just the QB. WR and OL are both positions with a lot of questions. There are a few SEC teams left saban can beat 13-10, but not as many as there were three or four years ago.

If I were Alabama, I'd be very worried right now. It has to be difficult feeling positive moving forward. Alabama has the most talent in the country but still might have a dysfunctional offense when it really matters. They haven't identified a true leader yet. You better hope for a lot of low scoring games.

The last 3 times we've broken in a new QB we've won 2 SEC titles (And beating LSU in the BCS championship was like a 3rd SEC title) and 2 National Championships, so we aren't sweating it.

The offensive line could be VERY good by midseason. The thought around the program is that the talent level is wayyy up from 2013-2014 levels at that position.

WR is a question mark. A ton of talent. Stewart, Foster, and Ridley all have elite potential. Mullaney was a very good possession WR in the Pac 12. But they need to step up the consistency and show that they can make plays when it matters. The lack of experience with 3/4 of those guys is what it is.

QB is a mess right now. Barnett looks like a future #1 overall pick to people who have been watching him in practice, and has been the best QB so far. But who wants to start a true freshman in the SEC? And, predictably, his first scrimmage was rough today, with him throwing 3 INTs. Coker has all the physical tools, but scares me to death. Too SLOWWWWWWWW on his reads. Cornwell had an excellent Spring, but not so excellent first week or so of Fall camp. Morris is okay, but is a statue out there.

Took longer than I thought for "the last time......." to come out.

This past season was the last time I will hang my hat on Bama being a bad football team because they are breaking in a new quarterback. They have an embarrassment of riches at the QB position. Which one comes out on top doesn't make much difference...he WILL be an effective QB. Bank on it.

Bama is going to be tough as nails again this year...we can only hope that our coaches out-coach (gameday) Saban, which actually isn't that uncommon, and the players have their best games at the same time.

Have you been on an island the last decade? I just read the article and Saban sounds pretty happy.
