It's a foregone conclusion that Kansas City will trade the pick. They might not get a ton of value in return but there's no way they'll keep the pick.
who will trade for it?

A really desperate team that needs a QB. That could be a number of teams like the Jets, Cardinals or Bills.

No need to trade up when they'll likely be there when they pick.
Not a very sexy situation for KC, Reid may just have to make a buddy buddy deal with a friend if he wants to get out of it.

Is Geno really worth trading up for?

This year's draft reminds me a lot of the 2005 NFL Draft when Alex Smith went #1 overall. The two best players in the draft ended up being a small school sleeper whose stock skyrocketed after lighting up the combine (DeMarcus Ware) and a QB who went from a potential #1 overall pick to plummeting to the #24 pick (Aaron Rodgers). I won't be surprised if we see something similar to that in this year's draft.

Apparently the Cardinals are dead set on drafting a QB in the first round. People are saying that there's no way they'll pass up Matt Barkley if he's available at the #7 pick. I can easily see them being a team that overpays for Geno.

Hell no.

Geno could drop to their pick if they sit tight.

Barkley isn't a good fit for their offense though.

agreed. He doesn't impress me at all.

Yeah, I'm sure people will take both of those guys way higher than they should. I mean, I don't know if I can blame them. It doesn't make sense for the team itself, but for a coach or GM that only has so many years to make things work, it's a risk that they might have to take. Unless they like one of the other QBs they can get later. That's probably what I'd do.

At the same time though if you are desperate for a QB and miss the pick then you lose your job.

You'll lose your job anyway if you keep starting whoever Arizona has at QB.

They are about to trade for a QB I would guess. Maybe Foles?

I haven't been paying attention. But there aren't enough QBs to go around. One of those desperate teams is going to have to draft someone or keep starting their own terrible QB.

Depends if you see Foles/Cassell/Flynn as legit options, even if for a short time.

I really don't think a team can start the year with Matt Cassell as the #1 QB.

I agree but if they add competition through the draft....

There's still some solid QBs left to be traded. Flynn and Foles could be big time trade bait leading up to the draft.

When you think about it not that many teams really need a QB.
Chiefs
Bills
Jets?
Browns?
Cardinals
Eagles?

They are looking at Matt Cassel, who is a WCO QB.
If they are going after a WCO QB, Barkley is actually a decent fit for them.
