Go back to 2011 when Brees and Brady were fighting for NFL passing records every Sunday and Cam was lighting it up as a Rookie.

The 2007 New England Patriots is a better jumping off point for this huge "spread" explosion than the 2011 NFL football season.

Branden Albert is good but nothing special. I would move him over to the right side and put Joeckel on the left side to give Smith 5 second pockets.

They already have Eric Winston at RT. If I'm the Chiefs you have to take Milliner or trade down.

There is no value in anything other than an OT, QB, CB, or pass rusher.

They don't need an OT: LT- Branden Albert RT- Eric Winston

They don't need a QB: Alex Smith (No QB worthy of the pick)

They don't need a pass rusher: Tamba Hali and Justin Houston.

Trade Down or Joeckel as BPA no reason or value to Milliner at #1

I think there is plenty of value in a CB, I will say I think Milliner isn't a top 10 talent most years though.

If you take Joeckel what do you do with him? Sit him on the bench for a year, maybe more? You can't do that with a top 5 pick.

This.

Joeckel would be a wasted pick. Milliner can come in and start day 1 for KC.

And put Javy back at his more natural Nickel position, so we get two Saban Bama DBs together in the same secondary!

This draft class lacks the "sexy" name, for lack of a better phrase that gets people excited but I think most of the picks will be solid players if nothing else

I agree with the poster re: moving Albert. If Philly's Oline would have at least been average, Reid might still be there (but thank God he's not). With Alex Smith as the QB, there's more value in Joeckel than Milliner IMO

MSB thread re: #1 pick points out the franchise tag is only for one year and Joeckel could actually play another position, maybe Guard, this year before eventually moving back to tackle?

Except the Chiefs already have quality starters at OG in Jeff Allen and Jon Asamoah.

Remember I qualified that post with according to the MSB But I concede that you've made the soundest arguments for the pick

My best response at this point is, "I just don't like it". Mainly because I don't agree that Milliner is the BPA but based on your argument he is the best pick for the Chiefs. There's also this
quote:

@willbrinson: If you pass on CB No. 1 overall because "you're not supposed to take a CB No. 1" then you're doing it all wrong.

Milliner isn't the BPA. The BPA is Warmack. He is a 10 year All Pro lock. But, you need to draft for your team. KC needs a CB the most after the events of today.

Either that or trade the pick and get the next best CB later. But, then why not just draft the best right off the bat?

I've never read such an outrageous post. He could absolutely do this (a lot of players could), but to claim it right now is down right stupid. He's yet to even take a snap in the NFL.

Its a projection. Like how a 5* player is a projection for high school to college.

Maybe 10 year all pro is too lofty, but point is is that Warmack is the best player in the draft and highest chance right now of being elite in the NFL

There is no doubt that it is...

Every player is an injury away from never walking again, much less playing football again. I obviously don't want that to happen with Warmack or anybody else, but the chance is always there.

Just making sure you're aware of that.

It's pretty crazy to see someone predict a player to be a 10 time All Pro when he's yet to take a snap in the NFL.

It's a foregone conclusion that Kansas City will trade the pick. They might not get a ton of value in return but there's no way they'll keep the pick.
