Also he'll be an AD whose expertise is football. Big time. Although you want improvement and success in all sports, football has been, is, and always will be king of the SEC sports world. Fulmer will certainly understand that.

Yep. But Fulmer was mentored by Doug Dickey and Dickey was the last good AD we ever had. Back when Dickey was in charge we were good at several sports. Football obviously ate first and always will but right now we are in the bottom 100 of the Director's Cup (some of that is that we don't field two of the sports that go into it but the other is that we let our T&F program go to shite). Fulmer always had a healthy love for the LVs and supported the smaller sports when he was coach. Back then football gave money to the uni.

And I can tell you firsthand that Fulmer is a first class human being that a ton of people in the coaching world respect. He's far from perfect but he loves our school and was mentored by the last succesful AD we had. Lord knows we've done worse but I think Fulmer with his fundraising and people skills has the potential to really hit out of the park.

UT fans are just wary of the decline that happened in the football program but most would give their left nuts to be back where we were under him (ironically that slide began when Fulmer's mentor Doug Dickey retired).

To be fair, until Saban arrived, Phil owned Bama

Dennis Franchione and Mike Shula beat Phil. I wouldn't call that "owned"

Dickey's replacement was certainly terrible. Who's the idiot that recommended him again?

Every now and then. Fulmer makes Bammers apoplectic. Your asses were owned and you know it.

The ol Barry Alvarez

Did Barry fire anyone at Wisconsin when he took over as an interim head coach? I always thought he just filled in for bowl games when the coach had left on his own.

fricker is too rich to die. I'm just hoping Blackburn will heed the call when Phil retires. He'll still be young and we'll still want him.

Not sure why you went to webster for that cuz I know. It's a benefit to hiring Fulmer.

Because he knew Hamilton was a functioning retard that would pay him whatever he wanted.

I might actually piss myself from laughing so hard if that happened. And I'd have no sense of shame about it either.
