What to watch on HBO - ohiovol
I plan to cancel (at least temporarily) my current HBO subscription sometime after Game of Thrones ends this summer. Anybody have some suggestions on what I should watch before that? For the record, I've seen: The Wire The Sopranos True Detective Band of Brothers ...

The question about Gods shouldn't be revealed definitively (much like life). I think that at the end of this series, both religion and skepticism will be alive and well in Westeros....

Can't imagine many people here sat through enough of that shite to have much of a discussion. I've only seen the first few minutes of a couple different episodes. My guess is they just don't have anything else to air....

That makes sense. Didn't Melisandre ask Beric and he gave her a similar answer?...
Yeah take a look at your favorite person in the books Cat. They found her in your river days after she passed. She looked like a zombie.
And she had a breakdown before she actually died....

So do we have an idea of how long Jon Snow was actually dead? It seems like these events may have gone down in the span of about a day....
and now it begins" "and now it ends"
I'm not going to lie, I'm worried about this scene. This scene combines crucial plot information with a lot of different emotions. It will require some high quality acting....

re: Game of Thrones S6:E3 "Oathbreaker" Bookreader Thread - ohiovol
Well it would make Dany the rightful heir to the Iron Throne instead of Jon.
That's already the case based on what we know. Dany is already te Targaryen heir. R+L=J is what changes that.
Where do you think the red door is with the lemon tree?
Admittedly the ...
Me, either. It doesn't make any sense, either, from a storytelling sense. However, the timing is right. That implies there is another Targ heir out there (the queen WAS pregnant) or that she actually miscarried and someone was able to swap Dany in for the miscarried babe. There is no ...
I get it. I guess I just want it to prove R+L=J I just watched the youtube where the guy is saying R+L=Dany and B+A=Jon. I don't want Jon to be Brandon and Ashara Dayne's kid
Don't worry. Preston Jacobs is crazy....

re: ASOIAF: who now has control of the artistic rights? Martin or HBO? - ohiovol
Don't be thick. GRRM can not come out and say he doesn't like the show or what it has done.
Agreed. I have little doubt he doesn't like some of the changes that have been made. That's a long way off from saying he hates the show. Most of the hate the show gets is from book puris...

re: Game of Thrones S6:E2 "Home" BOOK READERS - ohiovol
Just re-watched the scene introducing Euron Greyjoy. I've never been much of a fan of the Iron Born, but I certainly can't deny they are vastly superior to Sam and Gilly. While I strongly disagree with Carson that seasons 3 and 4 were about saving everything for the last three episodes, I'd be flat ...

re: Game of Thrones S6:E2 "Home" BOOK READERS - ohiovol
I am really not a fan of this theory, at all. Meera simply hasn't been developed nearly enough for that theory to be satisfying if it pays off. It would be almost as cheap as FAegon suddenly appearing out of nowhere in book 5 and being a major player in the endgame for realzies.
...
