Put the Vaught statue up there overlooking the stadium.

Yes. That would be awesome.

I know it wouldn't be ideal for later expansion....but if Ole Miss did some similar to Raymond James Stadium in that NEZ, it would look good. Make it to where it was a huge outdoor concourse. With bathrooms, restaurants, shops overlooking the stadium. Put the Vaught statue up there overlooking the stadium. Add a bunch of picnic type benches or tables for sitting. I have it pictures in my mind. Wish I could explain it better.

Great idea. Been saying that's what we needed for years. Create a huge concourse plaza area from the street to the stadium. Would be a great front door to the Vaught.

Its amazing a stadium that big looking only holds 65K. Same deal with the Titan's stadium. It looks at least as big as Auburn's but it only holds 70k. Chair backs sure take up a lot more room than bleachers. That might be what we need to do in order to bowl in the NEZ completely. Put in chair backs from the 40 to 40 on both sides. That would probably shrink the actual attendance by 2-3 thousand. Plus it gives you a reason to charge those people more money.

If the 30,000 fans that stay in the Grove during the game would go to the game then we would not have anywhere near enough seats.

They did this pretty fascist thing at Vandy when Franklin started. They told fraternities that they had to shut down the tailgates 30 minutes prior to kickoff, and the tailgates could not continue until after the game ended. Something along those lines, I cant recall the exact time limitations, but basically you couldn't tailgate or party outside the fraternity houses while the game was in play. It was an attempt to increase attendance, and I think it worked. But most people hated the new rules.

I would hate it, but this might work in the Grove. There would be some major backlash though.

I don't think closing down the Grove (even if it is during the game) would go well with alot of people.

A lot of people aren't going to leave their stuff no matter how many tickets there are or how cheap they are.

I wouldn't want it. But if the administration ever became as desperate as Vandy's to increase attendance, well who knows.

Also another reason I dislike James Franklin

why not limit access to the grove to those who have tickets? No just showing up for the party.

The whole parking pass thing didn't help matters. I have young kids and it was a major PITA to make them walk almost two miles to the stadium. They didn't want to go back to another game.

I tried all over the place. The point though is now you have to consider this as before if you just got on campus early enough, you got a good spot.

I mean that is a little unrealistic, but yeah, people would go nuts, but OM fans and Mississippian are dumb as frick. I really really am disappointed in those protests this past weekend. Does anyone think its a coincidence that Fletch comes to commit and plans a follow up visit, protests happen when he's up there and doesnt follow up with a commitment or a visit? frick those backwards idiots. frick everyone. No one holds back OM more than our own stupid fans

I doubt most of these people have any affiliation with Ole Miss at all.

Personally, I like having a parking pass and knowing I'll have a spot.
