Whatever. I'm tired of giving a frick. We're one of the sittiest programs in the SEC, so I guess we deserve to have one of the shittiest stadiums.

Trying to compare us to A&M is retarded.

A&M is in our fricking division. We have to compete against that. Who would you compare Ole Miss to? State? State also has a nicer stadium now.

OM will have the worst stadium in SEC West pre and post expansion with the current plan.

But WAOM. I'm not surprised. Not even surprised by the fans that are acting like this is a good move.

I pointed out that Bjork hadn't really accomplished much at OM yet and got attacked on here. I guess we see what his first real footprint will be and it looks like shortsighted cheap crap that Boone would do. Bjoone.

Are you fricking retarded ?!? Cause if you are then a post like this is understandable and I'll just set this flamethrower down and buy you a Boyz 2 Men CD and some Sonic.

It's part one of a multi-phase expansion of Vaught Hemingway. Apparently there is also more to phase one. I'm not crazy about this but if it helps with the rest then so be it. Since Boone spent so much money on the Starnes Center, they aren't really thrilled about tearing it down. Boone was an idiot.

Still waiting on someone to post the Quantum Leap gif where Scott Bakula looks in the mirror.

Plan of expansion

Click the link for full details. Also in phase one is a renovation of the press box and west side suites and the addition of two video boards in the South Endzone of VHS (I guess in the corners). Phase two will bowl in the North Endzone but it won't be to the height as the rest of the bowl (Because of the damn Starnes Center).

I know the fans want it bowled in right away but we have to win some more first... Our first 2 games this season are away from Oxford... Then we come home and will play ULL on SEC Network in front of a sold out house.. But the next weekend is Memphis at home, then a BYE, then Alabama in Oxford.. If you attend that Memphis game, look around the stadium in the 2nd quarter.. Take a good long look... The number of empty seats will show you that we arent quite ready to bowl it in just yet... The attendance at the Presbyterian game will be much worse than Memphis.

Last year we had a full stadium for SEMO... pretty much the whole game.

It seems like a lot of work just to add 4,000 seats in the end.

It'll be bowled in sooner rather than later... That's all I care about... Find a way to get that 9th or 10th win these next 2 seasons and the donations and gifts will come pouring in... Hell, State is setting fund raising records and all they do is beat us and whoever else goes winless in the conference that season... Just need Bo to take that next step...

A&M could have built their stadium "cheaper" but they wanted to build something that was impressive.

Eh, A&M went about as cheap as they could with the erector set design. That's all about speed though. No way they could have gotten it done as fast had they poured concrete. I still don't like it. That or Auburn's FWIW.

I like something similar to what USM added. Its not about seats, its about money. I'd rather keep it small and increase the demand. Raise the price and when the time is right add on to it which is what would be possible adding something like this.

It would prevent all expansions in that endzone. It looks like it seats about 2,000 people, if that.

I'm not sure we need more seats right now. You could add the boxes and then add on top of it later. I don't want a stadium that seats 75k with only 40k in it when we play those trash teams.

I think we don't add more and just continue on the path we are on and drive up the demand and ticket price. More revenue.
