Damn, I wish we had something like that. We do have the SRO now that is right next to the new jumbo tron and elevated seats.

The whole top of the East side and South endzone of the stadium are like this. If they get rid of that, it's going to be a mess of people underneath the stadium.

I'm still wondering about the bell tower.

My understading is that the donation was not to be used for anything but the bell tower. It's definitely happening

Where it will be, I have no idea. I can't decide if a stand alone bell tower or one attached to the stadium would look better.

One thing is for sure, following the current trend, it will be put in such a proximity as to prevent any other expansion without it being torn down.

They're going to be removing part of/if not all of the concourse area that is there now along with the top 4-5 rows of seating. At least, that's the way I understand it. The renderings should clear it up.

It seems as if they are actually removing the bottom rows. Here is the release from the school:

New Club Information (Pending Approval) - The concept is a bunker club at field level of the south endzone of the stadium. The club will include a seat in the first 10-13 rows of the south endzone and a unique hospitality area under the seats below the stadium. Club amenities include a personal locker, indoor area with tables, chairs and televisions as well as a glass viewing wall to see our team come in and out of the locker room. As it stands in the initial concepts, complimentary food and beverage will not be provided as part of the annual donation, however the club will have exclusive concession options that will be easily accessible and convenient.

Better have an awning over it or they are going to get pelted with drinks.

addition of a new field club as well as 30 new suites in the south endzone

Sounds like there are 2 additions... the 30 suites in the concourse area and the new field club area you describe. Or am I just confused?

Found a couple renderings from AR and USC. I think I like the AR one best.

Updating the concourses should be the first phase IMO. Secondly, I think it would look sexy as frick if the renovations included updating the east side overhang to match the SEZ and adding an overhang to the west side press box that also matches.

Updating the outer facade of the stadium would really help the outside of the stadium blend in with the Pavilion and the rest of campus.

ETA: I have no idea if the overhang idea is feasible or not, but I do think it would improve the symmetry of the stadium.

The first 10-13 rows are the worst seats in the stadium. They can have them.

Ehh.....I didn't mind the front row. Sat in the same spot all through my Ole Miss years. I miss that.

^This definitely needs to be addressed. I don't understand why we would put most of our premium seating in the End zone. IMHO It would look much better and create more valuable seating by renovating and expanding the east side club level to match the South Endzone.

Yep. All you would have to do is add a second level of suites onto that weird east side box.

I agree. I think that and adding a matching overhand would do wonders.

There goes the South Endzone concourse. That's going to be a lot of people crowded into the middle concourse. I think the idea is shite.

Wonder if they plan on relocating the student section. Taking away a lot of rows in that endzone.

Not too crazy about it. Feel better things could be done.
