Her husband and Children are mostly associated with Auburn. Tim Cook is approaching that status, but living in California, put him down that list.

Only one of them on the list might have had his own paramilitary death squad.

Damn I went to Ole Miss with the Lamptons. I knew they had some scratch, didn't realize it was like this. The children around my age are all good people.

One of them also married into the Lamar Advertising family whose cousins all reside in Baton Rouge in the Garden District.

His son or grandson was in my fraternity at Ole Miss a couple years older. He was a rush chairman while I was rushing and a super nice guy. Again, I knew they had scratch but nothing close to that.

Ole Miss kids are stupid rich. My pledge brother owns bass pro shops and he's a great guy too. (OMLandshark and a couple other posters here also in my pledge class)

I wish I was in their situation. Here I sit working my butt off (and posting on TD ) in a cubicle for peanuts

I would venture to say that Drummond's net worth has been underestimated.

Every billionaire's net worth is underestimated. They have secret Swiss bank accounts to hide money from the tax man

Probably, but Ole Miss is a lot like SMU. There are tons of rich kids that don't need a great education so they just go to a party school in the South with a ton of hot women.

SMU is like Ole Miss on steroids.

I'm not saying Ole Miss alums grow up to be super successful businessman and earn their own wealth. I'm saying they have absurd amounts of daddy's money.

And over 50% of the student body isn't from Mississippi FYI. Rich kids from all over the South go to Ole Miss then leave Mississippi forever. I knew hundreds of Texas kids. Lots of Atlanta, Houston, Nashville, Dallas, Memphis, New Orleans, etc.

Not even remotely true in any way shape or form.

If you posted "Ole Miss is a wannabe SMU", then maybe.

Ole Miss' student body isn't even middle of the pack wealth-wise in the SEC.

A. There is no way to prove that.

B. I would bet my left nut you are way fricking wrong.

Personally at Ole Miss I knew people from 3 families on this list of wealthiest families in each state. Thats just during my 5.5 years (lol) there.

I then posted SMU is like Ole Miss on steroids.

ETA:

Having Walmart doesn't make your students wealthy. I would also bet A&M is number 1 by far FWIW.

Actually wasn't it posted on here that all of the SEC schools student body's came from households with MHI of $100k plus, except for State and Ole Miss?

There were graphs and everything.

You can bet both your nuts, but there's nothing indicating Ole Miss has any real money at all, really, except a bunch of lying Ole Miss people, for whom projecting some kind of image is extremely important.

The poorest Mississippi people certainly weight it down. The top 25% of Ole Miss is up there with anyone I'm sure of it. There was a huge disparity for sure. The out of staters are the loaded ones, many of whom don't have a strong allegiance to their alma mater post graduation.

And I don't give a frick what people think about my image from Ole Miss. I'm an LSU fan from Baton Rouge that works my arse off for peanuts. In fact, I'm kind of a neutral observer since I'm not very biased for Ole Miss. I'm just calling it like I see it.

I think you just have a busted bullshite meter if you're willing to compare Ole Miss to SMU. That's comical.

I said SMU was Ole Miss on steroids, did I not?

SMU student body wealth is absurd. They have a ton of similarities though culture wise. A lot of the Texas kids I knew were between Ole Miss and SMU for college.
