Forbes released their list of The Richest Person in Each State. Looking at it, I know of a handful that are graduates from SEC schools. How many others are there on the list?

Name, School, Net Worth and (State of Residence)

Thomas Frist Jr. - Vanderbilt - $8.2 Billion (Tennessee)
Charles Ergen - Tennessee - $18.2 Billion (Colorado)
Garry Drummond - Alabama - $980 Million (Alabama)
Jim Walton - Arkansas - $37.6 Billion (Arkansas)
Anita Zucker - Florida - $2.2 Billion (South Carolina)
Leslie Lampton - Ole Miss - $1 Billion (Mississippi)

Mr. Drummond received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama in 1961 and also holds an honorary Doctorate of Science from the University of Alabama, awarded in 1983. He was a member of the University of Alabama Board of Trustees from 1983 through 2001 during which time he served three years as President pro tempore. Mr. Drummond was the University of Alabama College of Engineering Distinguished Alumni Lecturer for 1987-88 and University of Alabama Department of Civil Engineering Outstanding Fellow in 1987. Mr. Drummond was presented the Keith-Woodman Award in 1987 and established the Garry Neil Drummond Endowed Chair of Mining at the University of Alabama in 1985. He was inducted into the State of Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame in 1997.

I love the Waltons. Sam Walton personified the American Dream. Walmart is the best company in world history.

BUT---Jim Walton's education at Arky had much less to do with his success than his name. That's all I'm saying.

My dad worked for Ryder truck leasing a long time ago. Leased Walton his first truck back when had 1 or 2 stores. said he was the nicest old man you'd ever meet. didn't care for his kids though

Some other TN billionaires.

Haslam's are all UT grads. Fred Smith went to Memphis State.

I think Chouest is worth more than Benson. But his company is private so their is no real way to know hoe much Gary is worth
