Go ahead and enjoy your noble crusade, Numberwang. I do not have the time nor the amount of fricks available to give to engage you in a discussion.

There are several of these, aren't there?

I'm fascinated by the culture of lying and bullshitting, and why it holds such importance to you. Ole Miss isn't rich by any objective measure whatsoever.

I just enjoy pointing out liars and bullshitters. That's the real core of "Ole Miss culture" for whatever reason.

Drive around campus for a couple of days and tell me the types of cars prevalent. Obviously, a third of the student body lives in trailers but can afford BMWs, Mercedes, Range Rovers, etc.

CONTINUE ON THY NOBLE QUEST, NUMBERWANG. YOU MAKE SURE TO LET THESE PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET KNOW YOU'RE RIGHT AND THEY'RE WRONG!

For real, SMU is a private school that costs $60+k per year to attend, while Ole Miss is a state school in one of the poorest states in the country.

I'm honestly, not trying to knock Ole Miss, but saying the student bodies are similar wealth-wise just doesn't seem accurate

You made the claim "Ole Miss kids are stupid rich".

That's false. Ole Miss kids overall don't even measure up to the rest of the SEC in wealth. Sorry to burst your bubble. Maybe stop posting bullshite.

I knew of several students while I was there that had private family jets.

The four I'm thinking of were from Missouri, Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta.

Now you're getting mad. Drive around and look at cars? LOL.

Holy shite. Look at cars. Not at statistics, or endowments, and other real measures of student and alumni wealth.

Go count the cars, dude!

This is a bold face lie. All Ole Miss students are middle class.

Yeah, its not the Mississippi kids that are rich. Its the 50+% of students from out of state.

Alumni wealth and endowments aren't a good measure in this case to be fair. Not very many of the super wealthy Ole Miss kids had parents that went to Ole Miss or are even from Mississippi.

That's kind of dumb, because the wealthy people I know just use NetJet and other services like that. Still, what you describe is commonplace in the greek systems of most SEC schools. Maybe it is the relative poverty in Mississippi that makes wealth so impressive.

Super wealthy kids exist at every SEC school. That's the main point. Ole Miss doesn't have any more of them than any other school. Ole Miss actually probably has fewer per capita than most SEC schools.

That, or half the student body is incredibly poor to balance it out.

Either way, the claim that the student body is stupid rich is stupid.
