Alabama flag

and has nothing to do with the CSA battle flag.

Here is the Flag of Rucker's Brigade from Alabama.
Coincidence?

Additional- for Louisiana, notice the painting in the avatar, La troops at the Battle of Wilosn's Creek, blue flag with Pelican. The Battleflag of the 7th La Infantry was also a blue flag with a pelican

I looked into it, and I was wrong.

Over the years there has been much confusion and speculation over the shape of the Alabama state flag . Prior to publishing the 1915 Alabama Official and Statistical Register, Dr. Thomas Owen, director of the Alabama Department of Archives and History interviewed individuals who had been around at the time that the bill was introduced. He concluded that the flag was intended to “preserve in permanent form some of the more distinctive features of the Confederate battle flag, particularly the St. Andrew’s cross” Owen then made the conclusion that the flag should be square, based on the “regulations governing the Confederate battle flag.”

Cool. I learned something new today.

Yes, specifically illegal immigrants.

I have no problem with it personally, but I am white, so what do I know?

Real talk, I don't have an issue with it. I can see how it can stir up trouble, but I have talked with people from all walks about it and they are all fine with it.
