I quite like our state flag. Despite that shitty arse goldenrod on it that contributes to our allergy season.

No, no more than any flag with red white and blue represents the confederacy. There have been many books written on the origins of the flags of the south, you may find them more educational than the the picture the other poster illustrated.

Well what about my source then?

I can't see why people would have issues with us keeping slaves, we've had them for years!

Just because something has been around for a wrong time doesn't mean it's not wrong.

It is pretty ironic that SC is the only state in the South (other than Louisiana) that doesn't have some type of reference to the confederate flag in our current flag.

Alabama does not.

I think a red X across the flag can been seen as a type of reference.

Perhaps but I'm not convinced they made it the flag to reference the confederate battle flag

California should worry about themselves.

No it doesn't offend me and it shouldn't offend anyone.

Yes.

Not gonna happen tho.

I'll just keep flying the superior flag that is the national banner of the Lone Star State.

This is the first official Mississippi flag I can find when you were a part of the USA.

Actually that's not a bad flag at all...

I like that flag the most out of any I've seen (Including the current one) but I want us to keep the current one because it rustles so many liberal's jimmies.

No, that's the flag that was created in 1861 when we left the union. I agree it's a nice flag, but if people want to be offended then that flag is just as confederate as the current one. Check out the Bonnie blue in the corner.
