No way Holliday comes back in two weeks from a torn quad.

True.Mozeliak said the injury wasn't as bad as Adams though.Wish Piscotty would get called up.

Don't think it was torn. Or at least everything I was hearing was saying strain, not a tear. 2 weeks still seems fast.

Grade 2 strain from what I heard. Grade 3 would be a tear. Again, 2 weeks still seems fast.

Location. He's really stepped up well this year when the team needed him.Just hope he can stay off the DL.Are you going to any of the games?

Sorry I haven't got back to this thread. School and forgot about this question.

Cool. Thanks for the info.

Won't be making it this year. I'm going to try a couple games next season though. They will be the first tickets bought next year.

All strains are tears. Just varying degrees. Grade 2 is a partial tear. Grade 3 would be a full tear. He'll be out at least 6 weeks.

Don't really know how you defend that. Cards will quickly become villains on the level of the Patriots. People don't like winners already. They certainly won't like them when they are viewed as cheaters. What a black eye for the organization. Multiple heads need to roll.

People already hated the Cards and the Pats before, you're hated for winning.

Yeah, which is what I said. This will just multiply that. It's a huge black eye for the organization that was always lauded for "doing it the right way". No way around it. Massive hit to the Cards perception/image whether it's true or not.

This is a huge legal issue.

Court of public opinion aside, this would be akin to Exxon hacking into Shell's database and stealing information about the location of oil reserves. We are potentially looking at some massive fines for the organization, or worse. The Cardinals aren't neccesarily liable, but if it's found that the organization used this information in any way they are in a heap of shite. At the very least, there will be some penalties imposed by MLB likely in the form of lost draft picks or something similar.

This is true.

Personally I think it's just funny. With as much dinero on the line I professional sports as there is today, you better believe some form of shady shite goes on in every organization. All the time.

Looks bad when you get busted, but it is what it is.

Not sure, had to quit listening to the radio.

The local yokels are biased as hell against STL, though, obviously

As I understand it, some Cardinal employees were pissed that the Houston GM was using a analytics program developed by the Cardinals. The "Hacking" was just using a list of passwords the GM left behind when he went to Houston. The goal was to cause havoc in the code if the 2 programs were the same as suspected. So it wasn't about a competitive advantage, it was payback for stealing.
