It will be interesting to see what Mac can do with a QB who actually has some talent . I think his coaching of the offense has not been anything like I expected . He always wants to call plays like he has a good QB and he hasn't had one other then Grier for 6 games. We don't seem to run our QBs nearly enough . I feel like Grier has been the best passing and rushing QB we have had under Mac and a lot of his runs seem to be him making the best out of a play.. I wish Mac would learn from watching Gus coach because he will change the offense to the QBs strength .

I think we have to think, too, about what he's had at QB for the past two years.

Year one: Grier and Harris, after that those guys were for ABSOLUTE emergencies. It was obvious that they were walkon quality.

Year two: Harris transfers (never going to start), Grier popped for shite he knew he should have run by our staff so we're left with: Appleby and Del Rio with two TRUE blood freshmen with no experience.

Now that we have quite a few quarterbacks, and REAL quarterbacks, who aren't Purdue washouts or walkons (Del Rio) we might take more chances with our quarterback -- we should take more chances with our quarterback.
