I am also not talking about the Synthetic man made substance that led to that issue, nor am I talking about lsd or cocaine or heroin or ketamine or OxyContin.
And yet, what you are talking about is still a psycho-altering, illegal substance. Again, I'm not advocating that it should be. I am reiterating what it is.
EH doesn't need excuses made for him. He needs to learn from the experience and move forward, making better choices. I don't want him suspended, but I know that's the policy. I do agree that that needs to be changed.

Point is, because of the charges against eh, I am talking about that particular substance and the repercussions or lack thereof that come with its usage. It's really not the drug itself that is the problem but rather the laws designed to exploit its victimless users in an obvious attempt to benefit law enforcement agencies.

No fricking responsibility. Crazy.
She could have done her job better by doing nothing in this instance. No need to be a tattle tale for something so benign.

I'm (again) not disagreeing with the premise of your argument. I'm just saying you have to play ball in the ballpark in which you live....and this is where we're at. The laws are what they are until something changes. And let's be honest, even if it was legal, smoking it inside the building would've still gotten him negative attention.

He wasn't out tooting blow off a hooker's a-hole or driving around town drunk.
The kid was in his bedroom, smoking a plant, when he was snatched out and arrested. Let that sink in.
Also, someone needs to buy these kids some vape pens. Who burns weed anymore, is it the 1990s again?

Have you seen video of a person after a vape pen exploded in a face. I will stick with smoking flower outside like God intended.

Smoking weed is ritual, a rite of sorts.
Smoking a vape pen is pure bitch arse punk gimp.
It's like saying "Who makes biscuits anymore, you can just get a can of pilsbury and bake those motherfrickers in your oven"

Except these kids are athletes and smoking isn't good for their lungs. Also, if he was vaping there is a 0% chance he would have gotten arrested. But you know, biscuits!

I've never heard of disposable pens exploding. I've used 100s of the disposable ones over the last decade+, and never seen one explode. At worst they overheat, the plastic melts and they become unusable. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened, but the ones you hear about exploding are the rechargeable ones with lithium batteries.
Also there are plenty of ways to vape that don't involve putting an exploding battery near your face. He's Evander's son ffs, he can afford a volcano.

I'm kind of missing the point about how it benefits law enforcement agencies.

You understand LSD, heroine and cocaine come from plants, too, right?
Just because it is a plant doesn't make it ok. It was the RA's job to do something and you don't blame the RA when they are doing what they are supposed to be doing. You blame the person who was NOT doing what they were supposed to be doing. We aren't saying throw EH in jail or kick him off the team. We are saying it isn't right to blame a person who did exactly what they were supposed to have done.

It gives cops something to do and keeps more of them employed.

1. LSD does not come from a plant, it's made in a chemistry lab.
2. Cocaine is a concentrated form of alkalines extracted from the leaves using other chemicals and made into a paste in a lab. People have been chewing the leaves for thousands of years with no ill effects.
2. Heroine is a female hero, not derived plant. Heroin is made from the sap of a flower in a lab. See cocaine above.
So actually, the fact that it comes from a plant, you can literally walk up to it, pick a flower, eat it and benefit from its medicinal properties, does make it okay.
Idiot

I don't think getting kids arrested is in the job description. When I went to uga, RAs were there to HELP students - offer guidance and maintain general order in the dorms, not sniff out any and all illegal activities. Our ra didn't call the cops on us, and we were all fine.
