Except it wasn't the ACCPD that arrested him. It was the UGA police.

Maybe...unless something bad happened. Hey. I know people are going to disagree with me. But the older you get, you take on a new perspective. He was doing his job. I've gotten speeding tickets in my lifetime....some for going 9 or 10 miles an hour over the speed limit. Could the cop have turned a blind eye and let me go and there would be no harm done? yes. But I never blamed the cop because he was doing his job. At some point you don't blame the guy for doing his job. You blame yourself for doing something stupid that you knew was wrong.
How about the RA knock on the door and tell the occupants that they can smell weed burning and explaining that they can't let that go on. Second offense will be alerting Kirby, or the police.

Surely you are suggesting individual responsibility/accountability?

From what I've read, it sounds like the cops knocked on the RA's door. It sounds like a resident called the cops and the cops got the RA.

I think those cops saved him from the uncomfortable shite that accompanies eating 12 slices of pizza. All that cheese will pack you up. Thanks UGA police!!!!

Don't think so

This is reasonable.
My only caveat, would be this....I've played and I know how things work.
The RA would get harassed for doing that. (Of course, it will probably be worse for him after this)

Like watching a tv show and eating too many slices of pizza. Oh the horrors of late night weed chilling.
Except you never know what they might have done.
Come on, djs. We've had one guy caught asleep at the wheel of his car drunk.
Another 1 or 2? was caught under these exact same circumstances last year, while Holyfield was on the team, so he already knew the dangers of it. We had a couple get busted for shooting up their dorm with BB Guns.
You really going to try to pass these guys off as clear thinking responsible individuals?
If any of the other scenarios would have happened you guys would have come on here and blamed the cops, RA or somebody else, because that is what happened in the other cases.
Except when the kid got caught drunk at the wheel of his car. Then everybody wanted to know why something hadn't been done before then to help him.

Man. I forgot how RAs were always such dorks. Mine was a 22 year old named Ashlee with two E's. A senior living in a freshman dorm...voluntarily. Imagine!
So because she's a "dork", she's wrong to do her job?

First, our policy of suspension puts us at a disadvantage to teams in our own confrence.
That's on the university, not the RA. I don't disagree with you, but it has to be addressed by the administration.

Second, as much money as the players are making for the University. The least they could do is do like most everywhere else and not arrest kids for shite that doesn't warrant arrest in most parts of the US.
Fair enough. But things are what they are now and EH knew that going into it. Made a dumb decision. Hopefully, it's his last time.

Correct.
That's stupid and you know it. You're better than that.

ACCPD's use of UGA students as their cash cow is very well documented.
True. but in this case, they had to respond. They didn't go out looking for EH.

Not talking about drinking or guns.
I have a very good idea what happens when on gets high before bed: Eat some food, watch tv, play video games, sleep.
Last but not least, likey some brain healing from repeated blows to a helmet according to research from Israel.

Because she DID her job. Right. I got it.
No fricking responsibility. Crazy.

I seem to recall a football player falling out of a window in an Atlanta hotel....where cigaweed was involved....hmmm....
Pretty sure there are some worse consequences possible outside of gorging oneself on cold pizza and hot pockets. But you do you.

I am also not talking about the Synthetic man made substance that led to that issue, nor am I talking about lsd or cocaine or heroin or ketamine or OxyContin.
