Herbert Jones meanwhile:
On January 29, 2020, during a game against LSU, Jones suffered a fractured left wrist and underwent surgery three days later. He returned to action on February 12 while wearing a cast on his wrist. In his next game, after three days, Jones recorded six points and 17 rebounds in an 88–82 win over LSU. Late in the game, he made two free throws using only his right hand, due to his injury.

Don’t watch much soccer but this match reminds me of a football game where one team dominates but settles for field goals and in the end loses.
Good luck USA.
I’ve really enjoyed this match. Great
crowd, goal tending and lots of shots on goal.

What are the odds that two SEC teams down 4-0 early on win in the late innings by the same score, 6-5,in two days in the CWS?
Two great games.

Was just thinking the same thing.
Don’t remember a LSU team with 2 guaranteed outs in the starting lineup.

Only problem I have with the delay is that Hilliard was pitching great and sometimes this type of interruption can have a negative effect on rhythm/timing. It’s going to end up being around an hour between pitches.

re: Ever see The Jazz at the Superdome, Municipal Auditorium, or The Loyola Field House?

I saw the Jazz and Pistol Pete at the Municipal Auditorium and Superdome and I also say the ABA New Orleans Buccaneers at the Loyola Field House with Larry Brown at point guard and Doug Moe at forward. The Bucs played for the ABA Championship in 67-68 but lost to the Pittsburgh Pipers with Connie Hawkings in seven games.
Very fond memories.

Payton:..”The reasons behind it”
"That'll be something that's tucked away or under the rug at Park Avenue," Payton said. "They'll look into it briefly. ... Listen, don't get me started on that. I lost $6 million in salary. And honestly it was something that I'll never truly get over because I know how it was handled and how it was run and the reasons behind it. And that's just the truth."
What were the reasons behind it?

ESPN:Saints offer an instructive alternative approach.

Compare the Packers' approach to that of the New Orleans Saints, who have been treating each of the past few years as if it could be the last for quarterback Drew Brees. They identify specific players they believe can help them right away and aren't shy about moving around to get them. On Saturday, the Saints traded all of their Day 3 picks -- a total of four in all -- to move back into the third round to draft Dayton tight end Adam Trautman. (They eventually traded back into the seventh round to select Mississippi State quarterback Tommy Stevens.) The Saints' approach has translated into 37 regular-season wins since 2017 with three consecutive trips to the playoffs. I don't know if it will put them any closer to a Super Bowl championship than the Packers, but the Saints offer an instructive alternative approach.

They’ll try to use him in several positions ala Hill and see what he can and cannot do well and use him accordingly.
