There is a cost associated to building a porch. If this comes at the expense of living area that's a bad investment.
A smaller porch on the front for architectural interest can be good.
A porch with enough depth to allow outdoor seating is good. Many front porches are only 6' deep which isn't really adequate. As others have pointed out, the direction as it pertains to the sun is important. A western exposure in south Louisiana is a killer.
Porches also require maintenance. It's like owning another car or a boat that has to be washed several times a year. Columns and spindles made of wood with caulking must be maintained or the wood will rot out. Replacing is a drain on resources.

When Clark went in I wondered what was the largest crowd he had ever played before. I also thought Longstreet had probably played before big crowds before.
Knowing Lane leaves no stone unturned did he want to make sure Clark had been on the Big Stage at least once before perhaps needing Clark on the Big Stage later this year?
Also, Stacy Gage played before Durham or Berry. Durham and Berry have both played in TS before. Gage had limited time playing for UCF at Cincinnati and at KSU.
I suspect some decisions were made on who played based on who needed the Big Stage experience the most. Just my speculation.

My Dad had a friend named LeRoy. They were each driving a truck of produce from Hammond to Chicago. LeRoy got in an accident with a truck loaded with dynamite. LeRoy got blowed up. My Dad got his girlfriend, my Mom.
Regarding schools, the difference between the Mandeville area schools and the Cov public schools is not as great as it used to be. That said, in Mandeville your children will be in classes with more children whose parents are professionals / college educated (which can lead to better outcomes). In Covington, about 1/3 of the students will come from Black families that have not all emphasized education, about 1/3 will come from Folsom / Bush (although I do not believe they still arrive with a freshly shot buck on their truck's hood) and 1/3 of their parents (CHS graduates) are doctors, lawyers, accountants, etc. The education is there if one desires it.
Regarding traffic my experience most recently is that east-west on Hwy 22 in Mandeville has been most unpleasant. The Madisonville bridge is the Madisonville bridge. Near Covington, traffic has improved remarkably since Hwy 190 was converted to a "super street" and the Collins Blvd bridge was completed.
In Covington proper, True OT Ballers live near the downtown between the two rivers … on the "Island." They try hard to never leave the island.
I've been told the mayor of Covington posts here. They say he's a pretty cool dude :lol: .
Covington High Fun Fact: The first Black person to ever play for LSU was Mike Williams, CHS star, LSU and San Diego Chargers star. Mike still lives near downtown Covington.
Fun Fact II: Pistol Pete Maravich lived in Covington up until his death. His wife, Jackie, still does.
And yes, I too, attended RFA.

Recently Vance has been saying things that do not back Trump 100%. I believe this is by design. Kamala choked (pun intended) when asked, "What would you do differently from Biden?" She thought hard and responded "nothing." It was not and never is a good answer.

Well, yes. The Unemployment # has always been a foolish metric. It counts the number of people looking for jobs that cannot find a job. If one is not looking, then one is not unemployed.
I believe a better # is the employment participation rate:

We're meeting friends this week for a Rhone River cruise. They pre-tripped in Rome this weekend … and were very happy with the golf cart tour of the City. May eliminate some of the walking in Rome.
