I was there last night for my first strawberry festival. Didn’t hear the shots because the band was doing a great version of freebird. Suddenly everyone was saying get down. Shut the place down instantly. Was having a great time and didn’t see any problems before that. It’s a damn shame a few have to ruin it for the many.

Trump cut off the 40 million a week Biden was sending the Taliban. It was probably dependent on that money to keep the economy afloat. Leasing the base to us is probably not the worst thing to them. As others have stated, the location is ideal and having some influence in the area could be profitable.
Working out a deal for rare earth minerals could be a win for both sides. No one has ever effectively forced a change on these people. Working with moderate Arabs to show the advantages of modernization may slowly work. I don’t believe we can buy them which would be the Dim solution.

re: Potential election fraud in Wisconsin SC race?

It’s been three years on the nursing home story. I believe it was in Just The News. Solomon is a pretty straightforward journalist. Covid caused relaxing the rules on a clerk of court rep going to the homes and family members were reporting the voter fraud.
America has the fattest poor population in the world because of a generous safety net. No program from WIC to Medicare to dozens of others will allow you access without ID. States allow for free identification and only the mentally ill, or drug/alchol dependent would have a problem. The people I’ve known in those situations could care less about voting unless cash was involved. Statute of limitations long past.
The Dims should move on because 80-85% of people support ID. The few votes lost is not worth making the entire system vulnerable. People’s confidence in the system is the most important thing. The lack of transparency in 2020 was the largest attack on that conference in modern history.

Yet there were reports of 100% voting in nursing homes with family members on affidavits testifying the patient was legally incapacitated.
High participation rates could be helped by mail in ballots but it opens the door to fraud. Mail men have been found dumping mail out of laziness. It would be easy to slow down your oppositions votes if a deadline is implemented or add votes like in Connecticut.
Not trying to rehash 2020 but I believe that the changes to voting has lowered many people’s confidence the system. Never before has raising questions about an election been attacked without open verification and that was before Jan 6.
Honest people should all want easy to vote hard to cheat. I’ll never understand no ID to vote, and think anyone claiming it’s too hard to get one has an unrealistic view of real life. Those people are lying to themselves or lying to everyone else.

So how does one show his ID on a mail in ballot? With the access to the voter rolls, could I send one in for a low propensity voter? There was an effort to clean up the rolls, was that accomplished? Can organizers pay people under the table for their ballot?
I appreciate everyone wanting to make voting easier but it can’t be at the expense of integrity. My history of watching elections here in La. make me suspicious of the crazy high participation rates in places like Detroit, Chicago and Milwaukee.

They don’t have the mental capacity to understand that they are a financial drain on society. Having been told how special they are their whole life, I’m sure they believe they should live a perfect life even though they are lazy and stupid. It’s easy to look at someone doing well and not know how much work effort and sacrifice went into getting there.
They are in a dire need of “growing up”. I wouldn’t bet on them.

The comment about all eleven was more about the line as well as the receivers hands. It’s hard to complete a long ball if you are buried under a pile of D lineman. I’m not being negative, just realizing there are a lot of moving parts. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!

Watching Burrows uncanny ability to place the ball where great receivers can go up and get it leaves mere mortals seem lacking.
I do believe Nuss wants to be Burrow like and will be working hard with those receivers. Football requires all eleven. Hopefully Nuss gets plenty of help to improve his long ball.

I don’t know if I could traumatize the agents by ordering them to go through Jill’s panty drawer but anything else Trump, Navarro, Bannon and the J6 ers have experienced is fair game. If a minister at an abortion clinic can be raided with long guns waved at his family, a person exposing classified secrets to Americas enemies deserves no less.

re: Thoughts on returning money to taxpayers- “we aren’t in the business of giving out money”

Too many dollars chasing too few goods. Is also a definition of inflation. Printing money and over spending are a huge part without doubt. The deficit this past year is 1800 billion. Giving money back before you reach this level means you are borrowing money to give back. Let’s not be like the Dims and buy votes or poll numbers.
The economy is strong enough that it doesn’t need stimulus. I understand that Biden was propping up the economy with government spending and employment. It will take some time for the economy adjust from this unsustainable mode to a much stronger one based on productivity. These are wonderful, unprecedented first steps in scaling a huge debt mountain. Handing out borrowed money is not productive.

We have to cut 1.8 Trillion to have a balanced budget. No extra money beyond the tax cuts discussed during the election should be on the table. More cash means more demand which means more inflation. Cutting the debt and budget will help lower interest rates which will help reduce the debt. Let’s not pat ourselves on the back over a few hundred billion as crazy as that sounds.

I understand that Congress controls the purse strings but there has to be some discretion. The founding fathers would be horrified that we borrowed approximately 25% of last years budget without a war. Many of us have been in a spend it or lose it situations. Discretion is one thing but throwing gold bars of the titanic is another.
Budgets are made in the previous year and many things like fuel change, sometimes drastically. Cuts and discretion have to have some place. Schumer has been in favor of cuts when Clinton was doing it. If the law says you must continue paying scammers and 150 year olds, which I doubt, then the law should be changed. Anyone voting against that will be easily primaried.

Most of these contracts are done on the agency level and not specified in legislation. If you have control of contract/ grant allocation and check writing you can shut much of the problem.
If USAID is buying La. rice or Ks. wheat and feeding starving children then great. No one should want to pay NGO’s to expedite illegal migration. The gay/trans shite is a hell no.
All expenditures should be transparent and administrative expenses available for the grantees. It is not a charity if the directors are making more than the president and forty or more percent is administrative expenses. I wonder who these NGO administrators were giving political donations to.

Are you paying ANY attention to what is being reported from the USAID scandal. Politico and others were paid too LIE about Trump to make the sheep believe he said drink bleach. I bet you still believe he colluded with Russia and called Nazis fine people.
Please for your own good expand your news sources to more independent people. Shellenburger, Talibbi(sp?) Greenwald are some left leaning sources that still have integrity and are seeking the truth. Catherine Hestridge and Miranda Divine are also classic journalists.
Hell, sometimes I watch Jimmy Dore to see what the other side is saying. I don’t have to agree with his conclusions or preferred solutions. I do see that when he talks facts he gives sources. A classic liberal that wants the best for people but has disagreeable ways of getting there.
The first hint they were lying was when they downplayed natural immunity. Vaccines traditionally are based on natural immunity triggered by weakened or dead virus. If they will lie about this what else will they lie about. We have all been lied to way too much. .

No president of either party has lost the presidency with a strong economy. They have a history of regime change abroad which they brought home. They feared what Elon is exposing and the accompanying firings. The impeachment didn’t work but coronavirus did. At least for four years.
