Dev Patel is a fine actor.

Casting him as a medieval English knight, specifically Gawain, is stupid.

It's politics. It is more, purposeful, subversion.

Sir Gawain didn’t exist. Camelot (a city of silver and gold) didn’t exist. King Arthur didn’t exist. The story has a knight with green skin.

But by all means, focus on the race of the very good actor playing the lead character.

the Freedom Phone looks strikingly similar to a budget smartphone from a Chinese vendor called Umidigi. The device is called the Umidigi A9 pro, and you can buy it on the Chinese e-commerce site AliExpress starting at $119.

Finman later told The Daily Beast that the Freedom Phone was indeed sourced from Umidigi, a company that’s based in Shenzhen, China.

Cases and deaths always go down around the weekend because states slow down reporting.
Considering how terrible I think he’d be, it’d be hard for him to do worse. So, maybe? :dunno:
I literally lol'd at work when I reached that paragraph.

re: NATO...what would the Euro Zone do?

That's what a mutual defense treaty is by definition: all parties are required to come to the aid of the other if attacked. Interestingly, the only time Article 5 has ever been invoked was after the U.S. was attacked on Sept. 11.

I'm no expert on NATO, so I'm not sure about your hypo. Mutual defense may be limited to attacks on the homeland, so retaliation on our forces in NK may not be covered. Realistically though, even if it were theoretically covered, I doubt the EU would attack Russia or China if they were retaliating against a preemptive US invasion of NK, unless it escalated to WW3.

Please explain what role the FBI plays in immigration, other than performing background checks.

Plaza Tower

It was built in 1969; in 2019 it will qualify for historic preservation tax credits. My understanding is that whoever owns it has done the mold/asbestos remediation, but they are waiting until they can get that tax credit $$$ before starting redevelopment.

Children waiting to watch Disney movie Frozen were shown explicit sex scenes when the trailer for Lars von Trier’s x-rated Nymphomaniac was screened by mistake in a US cinema.

Parents in the audience were forced to distract and shield their children in a reportedly frantic effort to prevent a barrage of awkward questions.

“It seemed like forever when you’re trying to, you know, cover a little guy’s eyes,” grandmother Lynn Green told Fox news. “I didn’t have enough hands to cover his ears too and he got the sound down real good.”

that's definitely worse than a pedophile trying to peep at a little girl on the potty and being legally protected while doing so.

No one is legally protected from peeping at anyone using a public toilet or dressing room under any law.

What is zero. The movie reflected a different era, a different mind set to today.

Apparently not. Sounds like Indy could have been teaching in Destrehan:

quote:

Marion entered into a relationship with Indiana Jones during this time (when she was 15, according to the novelization of Raiders of the Lost Ark). Jones abruptly left the Ravenwoods in 1926; Marion was about 16 or 17 years old when the relationship finished, and Jones was 27, ten years her senior. Later in her life, Marion chastised Jones, stating, "I was a child! I was in love! It was wrong and you knew it!" Jones showed little remorse, and simply replied "You knew what you were doing."

The first person got old after awhile, and coupled with him getting "checkpoints" on his phone to go to, it felt like an overly literal video game adaptation.

The story had enough WTF is going on mystery elements to keep me entertained/ wanting to know what is happening.

Too many of the fight scenes were hallway shootouts, but there were a few neat fights (not involving hallways).

6.5/10
I can't imagine why her kids would have had anything bad to say about her on their phones. She seems so stable and well adjusted.

It's among the best of the cheesy 80s action films. I enjoyed it for what it was when I saw it for the first time several years ago. But if you like that type of movie you'll probably have a good time.
