The fact that it is cumulative kinda skews it a bit
that lost to Auburn and State is ignorant. Yes, we still have our question marks and areas to improve, but no one can tell me that it would be the same arse whippin if we were to play State later in the year. Whole different team, expect good things. :geauxtigers:

Mississippi State has to lose 3 games. If they only have 2 losses, they then hold the tie breaker over LSU

No they do not. Based on OP's scenario, it would be a 4 way tie between LSU, Bama, Ole Miss, And State. The head to head records would be
LSU: 2-1
Ole Miss: 2-1
State: 1-2
Bama: 1-2

LSU would then win the tie breaker over Ole Miss.

State has to lose 3 games.

Not true.
You can cut out 4 and parts of 3 and 5 and its the same thing but simpler. For instance:

1. LSU -- wins out.
2. MSST -- Loses to Bama and Ole Miss
3. Ole Miss -- Loses to Auburn
4. Auburn -- Loses to Georgia and Alabama

Same thing.

We lost our two starting DTs, who honestly weren't great last year

So your point?

Linebackers are decent, not great

No.
These are all literally things that someone would say if they haven't watched a second of practice and had absolutely zero inside "scoop"
I understand I might be asking for too much
I just always hear people making predictions and they sound so sure of themselves. Then when you ask them why all they can do is just mention other teams or say we are replacing players at key positions.

I for one say we can lose to Auburn because it is @Auburn and we never seem to play amazing there regardless of us winning the last 2 out of 3 or something there. I also feel like they know how to win games and put up a lot of points on teams fast.

I can't really think of a reason why we should lose to Florida other than it being in the swamp and they have a great D.

I can obviously see us losing to Bama because Saban and obviously the most talented team in the country as far as recruiting goes.

I just honestly don't have any real reasons why we SHOULD lose 3 games, just why it may be a possibility. All teams have questions just like we do. I rather predict our potential losses as wins I guess. I just trust Cam.

We did average the fewest punts per game last year in the country. THAT'S A HUGE STAT. We had Mett, Odell, Jarvis, and Hill the year before. CAM is the it factor fellas.

Florida or Auburn, Alabama, and our bowl game. That's my 3.

Ok, so most of yall are saying these 3. I agree that these are very much so POTENTIAL losses. But WHY exactly will we lose to these teams?

And questions at QB and DL is not the answer I'm looking for.
And honestly I think it would be foolish to be concerned about any position on defense other than DT. Maybe Welter, but he couldn't(knock on wood) have gotten any worse and we know Beckwith will begin to be rotated in frequently.
You guys talking about QB play, yall aren't just a little bit more comfortable considering the fact that we have Cam and that we've had success with average-below average QB play before?
Not saying I can't see it happening. I've just been hearing 9-3 a lot. It sounds like people are just throwing out a number.

I just want someone to explain WHO exactly will we lose to and WHY exactly we will lose if we end up going 9-3.

I personally think 10-2 or 11-1 is honestly a realistic number.

Jennings has no real advantage over Harris really (I do not consider 1 game and 1 drive and a year "in the system" as any kind of advantage) and the spring game basically turned in to the Brandon Harris show. It's obvious that the coaches favor him.

Miles has been talking about how freshmen will play a huge role this year and he's not talking about LF(we all know he will play) and Malachi and Quinn (lots of depth at WR.)

3,6,5,8,10, and 13 are all guaranteed to not happen.
I honestly think we are stacked everywhere but if you want to base it on talent and number of players at that position with talent you have to go with DB's and WR's without a shred of doubt.

It doesn't really tell me much about why any of the backups are any good.

We've heard arguments on how all of the guys I listed are very talented and will compete for playing time very early in their careers.

When it comes to O-Line and LBers most have just said Welter, Kwon, Debo, Feist, and Beckwith will play at LB and Lael, Porter, Hawkins, Alexander, and Fanaka will start with Pocic and Washington getting snaps in there.

All of those guys have been on the team for at least a year and aren't touted based on just talent.

I listed the position in which we had the most depth based on the talent and hype at those positions and the large quantity of talented players at those specific positions.

Neither team is really all that good in the red zone, frankly.

I was talking more in terms of defense.

Our D will step it up and load the box when Wisky gets in the red zone and they will be too one dimensional to score many TD's.

Wiskys inexperience and less talented front seven will obviously not hold up as well in the red zone against a Cam Cameron offense with a talent stacked backfield, receivers, and experienced behemoth O-line.

I could see him breaking away once or twice for a long score.
