On top of that 90 Million dollar salary, LSU is also giving him 25 million annually in NIL lRoster money.

As Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss met Friday, confidence brewed in Baton Rouge: LSU is finalizing a near $90M+ offer to the coach - blessed by the governor - and $25M+ in annual roster cash in its most serious push to gain his commit, sources tell
@YahooSports
If Kiffin was staying at Ole Miss, they would have been more than eager to say that. He is leaving Ole Miss. He's already made that decision. And I believe he has already decided where he is going. The press release didn't say that he will be deciding after the egg bowl, it said he would be announcing his decision after the egg bowl. Announcing whether he's going to Florida or LSU.

We will need a couple of QBs from the portal. Would be great to get Levitt if he enters the portal and a young backup. Can you imagine what Kiffin could do with him?

If Kiffin is coming, I would think it's possible that the contract is already signed, and being kept a secret. They agreed to keep quiet and let him coach out the regular season. But if he changes his mind, he'll have to deal with the terms of the signed contract.

This. but I believe Kiffin is already our next coach...on signed paper!

Here's what I'm reading into that. He's definitely leaving Ole Miss. Coming out of that meeting, if he were going to stay, He would have signed the extension and Ole Miss would have announced it today. I don't know if he's going to Florida or LSU, but I believe that both universities already know his decision, but have agreed not to announce anything until after the Egg bowl to appease Lane and Ole Miss. I believe that if it leaks out, that may squash his decision.

Knox to Uhigh is real with him enrolling after Thanksgiving break as an NIL offer was presented to the family that wasn't matched from a competing high school in the Baton Rouge area.

Would this be a violation of LHSAA rules? His stats are pretty good at Oxford High for not being a starter.

Joey McGuire - Makes no sense, but just a hunch
How about going after Dia Bell, the QB from American Heritage in FL? Chances are that Bell will have to sit a couple years at Texas behind Arch. He could come here and compete for playing time right away since Nuss will be heading to the NFL after this season. That coupled with an extra big bag may flip him.
:geauxtigers:
Maybe he wants to be playing for LSU again next year. The slump he's in isn't going to attract too many MLB clubs. Hell, they walked a freshman the other night just to pitch to Jones. That had to embarrass the hell out of him. He definitely needs to be dropped further down in the order....at least until he's out of his slump.

I've seen this kid play and he is the real deal and deserving of his ranking. His Hattiesburg High Tigers beat my Picayune Maroon Tide in the State Playoff Semifinals this past year and he was almost unstoppable. Hope he sticks to his pledge because he's going to be a great tiger!

If Daddy Nuss wants to live on the Northshore, they should move to Picayune. We have a great football program (w/ 2 recent State Titles) but are in need of a QB this year!
Is Haven a lot better than Colton? I was watching Colton's sophomore season on hudl and he was impressing. Like Garrett but can actually run pretty well. I'd love to have them both and let them compete for the starting job.

Alabama starting OT Elijah Pritchett plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal,
@Hayesfawcett3 reports.
I think Nuss wins the Heisman next year!

Baseball recruiting question

Who was the highly touted recruit that bypassed going pro to come play at LSU this year?

And what makes you think that they will be any good inside?

What makes you think that they won't? Do you believe that our new defense will be playing 4 DTs? Put JG and another 300lber inside, and the 280 lb guys on the DEs. We'll be better than we were last year just having a good (if not great) coach coaching the DT's and Peoples coaching the Ends and Edges. Maybe you just shouldn't watch football this year. I think we're going to be a lot better on defense. Not great maybe, but decent would've had us in the playoffs this year. :geauxtigers:

I agree with this. It doesn't make sense. He couldn't beat out WC in high school, so why would he think he could beat him out in college? He seems to be a bit full of himself and is not a team player. What is he going to do in the NFL when he can't beat out a LT. Just take his ball and go home?
