My Last Post On The Rant...

Posted by tiger88 on 11/29/15 at 9:19 pm
until...

I've never been a Miles man. I admit this. Why? Because I am a call it like I see it person... as I did nearly four years ago today.

For those of you who think there will be step changes in the offense, you're either too new to following LSU (as an adult) or choose to forget bad times. Good for you, but know this: Miles is not going to change. And I can almost prove it.

I really didn't want to be right about him back when I wrote the above post, but I was.

And so there is no point in supporting a program that derives absolutely no pleasure for me. So, until a new coach is named, I'm out.

In the meantime...

Considering it is a State funded school, everyone that lives in the state has a vested interest. Pesky little things called taxes.

The LSU athletic dept is 100% self-funded receiving no govt. subsidies.

Congrats to you and your daughter.

I'll take that as a no for you. Figures.
I don't think you have grasped the illogical love of the positiger. It's deeper than you might think; they actually do not understand how and why football is played.

The LSU Football Program Is On Fire...

Posted by tiger88 on 11/29/15 at 12:46 pm
I see two possible outcomes of this fire:

1) program is consumed by it with ensuing aftermath - to recruits, staffing, etc., and even unintended consequences.

2) fire extinguished with new hire.

Problem, however, is that waiting too long to take option #2 exacerbates the effects of option #1.

I can't watch this any longer, and the only thing I could do is be vocal on boards such as this. But as I no longer have confidence in anyone associated with the program...

I'm out.

But I am willing to take the risk.

See, it's not hard to understand.

Glad there actually were no riots, but this is what has ensued...

I agree. The seats will turnover to someone who is happy with the expenses of an LSU Gameday and the mediocre performances. Year in and year out. No worries... May go buy a boat and fish on Saturdays from now on...

I'm with you. There are countless alternatives to watching The Les Miles Bumpling and Stumbling Circus. It's just not worth, and what is perhaps equally disturbing is finding out the LSU Admin set is incompetent as well.

Just give it up. All of your observations are completely justified and valid. However, your entire perspective is quite wrong. Let me tell you why.

...

There are a few college football programs that have the same demands that are placed on an NFL team, but, LSU is not one of those programs.

LSU football is a minor league feeder to the NFL like many Div. IA programs. The salaries that Les Miles and staff receive are proof of this fact. You are holding on to a romantic and outdated notion. Sorry.

Agree, and they are thinking as follows;
