I agree they were trying to avoid injuries but, I was pointing out why the offense had the chunk plays. Defense excels when they are aggressive, offense is most productive when they are efficient.

I attended the scrimmage and agree with most of what others have said. However, I would add that I thought that many of the offense’s big plays were due to the defense not being particularly aggressive in their attempts to tackle ball carriers. They would be in position to deliver a good blow only to let up as they neared the ball carriers. It seemed like the offense was moving at 100 percent, the defense was in 3rd gear. There were no hard hits by the defense.
Also, I only saw one QB sack the entire scrimmage.

I gave up my season tickets in section 103 after the 2019 season due to the deteriorating atmosphere around my seats. These tickets had been in my familily since 1949. My main complaint was the seats near mine were almost entitirely corporate owned leading to different people using them for each game. Most of these folks weren’t Tiger fans and seemed more interested in having what I call a club experience instead of enjoying a football game. I really missed the way it was when I first acquired the tickets in 1979.
