unconstitutional.
"Unrealized gains" are not income, so cannot be taxed by the feds.

Important step towards a hot civil war.
Now 10,000 illegal votes in California can change the election.
Texas & Florida will likely not be willing to accept that.
The interstate pact will likely be unenforceable, so when the republican governor of a state in the pact refuses to go along with it, ...

That isn't even the right question to ask.
Ask "Would Trump be in court defending this if he were a Democrat".
You will find 85% plus recognize this as dangerous weaponization of Justice....
How do we divorce ourselves from the Democrats?
Hate to break it to you, but there ain't no way. Peaceful divorce was tried once about 160 years ago. It will be a real civil war rather than a divorce.
So, your options are either convince current democrats to give up on their par...

Really, it is all about the weather.
If the day turns out to be cloudless, then just find a place that is comfortable where you have access to a bathroom.
But if it is partly cloudy, you need to be mobile so you can relocate 10 miles down the road to get a clear patch of sky between you and the...
re: How long ago did Fanis dad buy lunch for the three of them for $9.95?
Posted by M. A. Ryland on 2/17/24 at 9:25 am
Except $9.95 is a weird number for things to just happen to total to.
It is an expected price for a single item (9.95 or 9.99 for just under $10). But ordering multiple items to get that total... Either everything is priced to the nickel (plausible but still unusual to get to a $9.95 final tally)...

So how do the defendants go about getting the convictions overturned?
If capital police / DOJ people knew about the perjury and did not bring it to the court's attention, does that make it a conspiracy to deny civil rights under the color of law?...
re: Cathy Wood Rips the Delaware Court Finding Voiding Musk's $56B TSLA Compensation
Posted by M. A. Ryland on 2/5/24 at 7:18 am
The Judge ruled that Tesla wasn't completely open with the shareholders about what they thought Musk's chances were of reaching the various compensation goals. A pretty ridiculous ruling on its face.
But since you can't go back in time to see if shareholders would have voted against the compensatio...
re: National Divorce - Long Overdue

People keep saying "Natioinal Divorce" like that is possible.
It would quickly devolve into a full blown hot civil war.
Millions die, and at best 2 weakened and war-torn nations emerge, with China being the lone super-power on the planet.
While I get the sentiment of the thread, if you can't see the advantages of LED's over incandescent, then we can't help you.
LEDs are more efficient than incandescent, and can generally save you money. So for most use cases it makes sense to buy LEDs.
Having said that, it is NOT...

had bad trigger thumb on left hand. Steroid shot fixed it in < 24hours.
Was an amazingly painful shot!
That was a few years ago. Have trigger thumb on right hand now, but haven't gone in to get the shot yet. Need to get the Orthopedist to prescribe an oxycodone and take 2 hours before.
The shot...
Has Christmas become too commercial?
As they said in the 1947 Miracle on 34th street, "there's a lot of bad 'isms' floatin' around this world, but one of the worst is commercialism"
So the sentiment isn't exactly new....

You keep using the phrase "rule of law", but I'm not sure what law you are talking about in this instance.
Biden signing a settlement with the ACLU doesn't change any law. Changing a law requires the legislative branch.
So on what basis wou...

The settlement did nothing to change the law. If it was legal before the settlement then it is still legal.
