A Del Rosario (23) 5 reb I know some people tempered expectations from her coming last year as a 5-star but do we expect her to develop into a good player down the road? Is she basically all defense/rebounding and no offense in her time here?
I thought the same thing in the warmup games. She looked heavier and slow. I didn't realize that she had ankle surgery in the offseason and is playing her way into shape. Unless/until she gets faster, you're correct... she's going to be a bit player.

Work is a blessing. If you hate the job you're in, get another one that you can tolerate, even if it pays less. But don't think the pursuit of recreational pleasure will satisfy you. It won't. The joy of those hobbies will fade, and loneliness will be an issue. Additionally, you'll likely burn through the $2mill far quicker than you anticipate. When you do, you'll be out of the workforce for such a length of time that the same opportunities won't be available to you like they are today.
Additionally, by burning through your wealth, you eliminate the opportunity to impact your children and generations of your descendants. I'm in the same position you're in now. What currently motivates me, is the good that I can do with my wealth... particularly the good I can do for my children. I'm currently trying to ensure that I have enough to help my son (14 yo) or future son-in-law (don't even know who that'll be) to start his own business one day. My wife and I have been able to be really generous to our church body, to some local charitable works that are really meaningful to us, and to quite a few friends and church-folks that just needed a little help.
Men were made for responsibility and meaning. Hedonisitic pleasure is an inadequate replacement.
Work was not a curse of sin, it was blessing given to Adam so he would properly take his place in the world.

re: Rogue is better than Zyn

I've dipped Copenhagen snuff for 31 years. During duck season, I was introduced to ZYN, and really liked it. I totally swapped over to ZYN, exclusively dipping that for 3 months.
Over this time, I noticed my voice was getting hoarse. I attributed it to every other possibility and finally decided to check out if ZYN could be the source of it. That's when I noticed ZYN is nicotine salt. By having ZYN in my mouth 8 hours or so a day, I was essentially curing my vocal chords.
I tried Rogue, whose ingredients are more vague. It didn't help. I never could establish this definitively, but I believe Rogue is also some form of salt.
Over the last month or so, I've switched back to Copenhagen, and the hoarseness has totally resolved.

re: World Number 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler arrested UPDATE: Arresting officer is former NOPD

Statement from Scottie Scheffler’s Louisville attorney, Steve Romines:
“
In the early hours of the morning in advance of his tee time Scottie was going to the course to begin his pre round preparation. Due to the combination of event traffic and a traffic fatality in the area it was a very chaotic situation He was proceeding as directed by another traffic officer and driving a marked player’s vehicle with credentials visible. In the confusion,Scottie is alleged to have disregarded a different officer’s traffic signals resulting in these charges. Multiple eyewitnesses have confirmed that he did not do anything wrong but was simply proceeding as directed. He stopped immediately upon being directed to and never at any point assaulted any officer with his vehicle. We will litigate this matter as needed and he will be completely exonerated. “

re: Know anyone who was caught cheating on college exam? LSU or elsewhere.

First semester @ LSU law in 2000, we had a guy in our section that got busted. It was in the old building... don't remember the class. Basically, he went to the bathroom multiple times during the exam and was asking other guys in there what the answers were... which doesn't really make sense to do on a law school exam. Dude was asking this in front of multiple people, on multiple instances. All were afraid they would get honor coded if they didn't report him. So multiple people reported him.
As I recall, the school provisionally allowed him to complete all his finals and planned on addressing the issue after that. I don't think that was ever needed because the guy flunked out that first semester.

I think she's going to end up as a stud. Really hope KM can change her mind. She was the most athletic player we had on the team this year.

Agreed. I think she was the best athlete on the team this year. On top of that, she was not afraid to shoot… the moment was never too big for her. I thought she was the player who’d make the biggest jump in the offseason.

When players are given this much money, attention and have already won a championship, it’s going to be tough for them to care whether they win or lose. The mindset of the younger generation is different. They would rather say I don’t care and not try their hardest and lose than give it 110% and lose.
You must not have watched any game in the tourney? These girls cared deeply.

She'll be back. NCAA WBB gets 10x the eyeballs that the WNBA gets. The earning potential is just greater here at LSU.

Of course she'll be back. NCAA WBB gets 10x the eyeballs that WNBA gets. You simply can earn more money at LSU.
re: Misconception about NIL money vs WNBA money according to Aliyah Boston

This
NCAA WBB gets 10x the eyeballs that the WNBA gets. For example, Game 4 of the 2023 WNBA Finals between the Las Vegas Aces and N.Y. Liberty averaged 889,000 viewers, which is the most-watched WNBA Games 4 Finals on record.
Last night, LSU/Iowa got (initial reports) 9.9 million eyeballs.
Until that changes - NCAA WBB is the pinnacle earning potential for a woman playing basketball...
which is why Angel will be back at LSU next year!!!!!!!

Her popularity score, or whatever these companies use to determine people’s value, is going to plummet. The end of the line for women’s sports (outside tennis or golf) is college. Fans will cheer for their school no matter what.

Kent is the best athlete on the team. She may be a key cog (as a defender) in the tourney.

I still think College WBB makes the stars more money than a 'pro' career. WNBA gets no eyeballs, thus gets no endorsement money. Right now, College ball is in a golden era of popularity, thus the NIL money for the stars eclipses anything they could make going 'pro'.
I think she'll be at LSU as long as the rules permit her.
