My guess is the promise of wearing number 5 wasn't Kelly's decision. He was always less hands-on in recruiting. It was probably an assistant that made the promise. Lane's hands were tied but ultimately had to keep a promise that was made.

Agreed with both. I know Womack transferred to Ole Miss but have no idea if he made an impact.

The Solomon Thomas thread got me thinking. I understand things happen or guys may get injured and just don't always come back the same. Just sucks these guys had all the potential in the world and just couldn't get on the field or played very little.

I've been genuinely curious if at 285lbs in high school, he would eventually play inside. I know he projects as an edge as of now, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if he adds more muscle and wrecks shite as an athletic freak of nature DT. So now this Jalen Carter comp makes me even more curious lol
