How am I trashing the dude?
 you've pretty much trashed him in every post
don’t think this guy is the one to help get Quad over the goal line

IF Quad is that good, and all he has is an offer from Duke, this guy is doing something very very wrong[/quote...
I don't know. I think one would be that as far as he can tell, play is still going on. If he stops and his replacement is already coming on you have too many guys on the ice. Or the fact that he looks pretty damn confused as he's sitting on the bench there. This one in particular is a tough spot...
On the contrary, the last second jerk looked more like an "oh shite" reaction to me. And grabbing the stick with his off hand is probably second nature when coming off the ice to lift it over the boards when he goes in the door....
 Yeah thinking a guy that just took a head shot on the boards might have been a little disoriented is pretty fricking dumb. No way he could have had his eyes closed or anything. Thinking a 12 year vet with no real history of being a thug wouldn't be dumb enough to intentionally level an offici...
The degree of spin on this is fricking amazing
Must be my deeply rooted (read non-existent) ties to the Flames and gentleman/scholar Mr. Dennis Wideman. ...
Habanero Sculpin was definitely not my jam. Free sample at a place, but there's no way I could have finished a whole one....
Yeah I guess I should take a more rational approach like most people in this thread and go with something along the lines of "Absolutely no excuse. That guy should immediately be kicked out of the league forever."...
Meh. He gets right up on him and the legs turn sideways the instant before impact like he saw him RIGHT before the hit and it was too late to avoid. He was clearly woozy after the hit he just took on the boards. I just don't think it was entirely malicious on his part - careless for sure, but I do...
It's really not quite as bad as it seems in [link=(http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/gotta-see-it-wideman-plows-into-referee-after-scary-hit/)]full context.[/link]...

Think he is in Dallas. There was a $1M ticket sold here, but definitely not a jackpot winning ticket....

According to Phil Steele about 10 minutes ago...
The BIG game is a week away but here is the opening line Current at @LVSuperBook Westgate Alabama is favored by 6' over LSU.
So it looks like it's already moved through the key number...
You are correct. [link=(http://www.si.com/more-sports/photos/2015/01/06/si-covers-2015/1)]Here is the gallery of SI covers.[/link] All dated so you can see which weeks have multiple (regional) covers. LF is the only one this week. ...
Okies are still butt-hurt over 2003.
Found myself (in LSU gear, naturally) at the Texas State Fair last year on the day of Texas-OU and can confirm they are still butt wounded. ...
Jamie Moyer
Pitched the Rockies to a win in 2012. He was almost 2 years older than Will Ferrell was when he "played" this spring. Credit to @AceballStats on twitter. A pretty interesting follow for any MLB fan ...
I've been experimenting with the fivethirtyeight bracket predictor thingy, and they have Oklahoma State at 59% likely to win outright, so I tossed a few bones on that. FWIW they also had UAB and Ga. State more likely to win than the prices on them, so I had both of those MLs yesterday small. Gav...
It would just water the talent down.
To some, that's a key component of the argument. Pitching staffs are loaded from top to bottom with 95+ mph arms. Expand, and watch a natural infusion of offense come back to the game. It's worked every other time in the history of MLB....
Honestly, I think there should be contraction of two teams
With US population growth, and the growth of the overall world talent pool, there is some good evidence that MLB should actually expand if they want to improve the overall product on the field....
