If a QB's arm is going forward, and if the pass comes out as a lateral, that's still a live ball. Then why don't the rules make sense if the QB's arm is going forward and upon getting hit, he fumbles the ball (still going lateral), how is that not also a live ball? Seems like another rule that only benefits one side.
