No doubt the misguided portal system (worst thing that's ever happened to college football imo) weighed heavily in Saban's decision. Having said that, it will be fun reliving the years like the ones following Bear Bryant's retirement and the subsequent Bear Bryant Syndrome where no one would ever measure up and Bama fans remained unhappy with the hires - until NS came along. Now they'll suffer the similar Nick Saban Syndrome. Have fun.
I said the exact same thing. Best to end it there, one way or another. If they had missed it, I wouldn't have changed my opinion.

Is it really too much to ask for the team to at least know and execute the fundamentals such as blocking and tackling? Is it also too much to ask for a Special Teams unit to display a modicum of proficiency?

I don't wonder.

I know and I can't wait.
That website gave me a migraine, layout is shite. Thanks, Chicken, for the outstanding job with TD. Makes going to other websites painful.

See those epic character arcs on Game of Thrones! That was pioneered by Babylon 5! Babylon 5 also has much better writing than Mass Effect!

I'm not sure what you mean by comparing it to Mass Effect but B5 is my all time favorite TV sci-fi series. It was extremely well written and very obvious that that it was meant to be a 5 season series. It's so cool that something said in passing in season 1 had big implications in season 3 or 4. J Michael Srtaczynski borrowed heavily from Tolkien but made it an epic series.

Just so happened to be my rotating Monday off! GEAUX TIGERS!!!

I think he's going to be either a brain surgeon or a double-nought spy.

Have you seen their mascot? Looks like a mangy tiger on it's deathbed

Actually . . . looks more like a 19 year old housecat with end stage chronic renal failure.

Is the only reason I have not been 101% confident we dominate this game. I feel it my bones that we win, but I am so nervous about that feeling leaving the dome

Relax! Miles and his ego are gone. New sheriff in town. Everything is going to be oh-tay.

Clemson would also be undefeated against the schedule LSU has played thus far. LSU can't say the same about Clemson's schedule.

??????????
I remember the day like yesterday. Heard about it from a classmate as I was opening my locker at BroMo and was devestated. Always wondered what a Tiger team would have done under Rein.

but just how far does Bama drop in the polls with another loss at home?

Any other team in the nation? 10-12 spots.
The Gumps? 3-5 spots.
Les Miles is turning into the Charley McClendon of this generation. Charley Mac was well liked and was an average to slightly above average coach - not a great coach. He consistently put together teams that had 8-9 wins nearly every year but he could never beat the Bear and never was in serious contention for a NC.

Les Miles is an average coach who has been VERY lucky with the results of some of his at times bone-headed decisions. He is not a great coach. Yes, he has put together an impressive number of 10 win seasons. Yes he brought us a NC (see "luck" comment above). Then again, Gene Chizik brought Auburn a NC too. I guess anyone can look like a football genius when you have a Cam Newton and I'd say nearly anyone can put together impressive seasons with the stacked talent LSU has had.

The glass shattered for me during last year's NC game debacle and I finally saw Miles for what he was. He continues to unimpress me as a head coach and sadly, last night's outcome did not surprise me.

I know you can't get rid of a coach who keeps having 10 win seasons so I imagine he'll be around for a while just like Charley Mac was. And we will continue to have successful seasons and bowl appearances however I do not think we're ever going to seriously contend for the NC again under his leadership.
You're right. We need Jimbo Fisher back.

Let's win the NC first . . .

no way this is real

I wouldn't doubt this. This is quite consistent with the end of the 2007 season when we had to hear incessant whining from their fan base - and the university president - about how they got screwed, were the better team, deserved to be in the NC game more than LSU, etc etc.
