re: David Andrews might start for Patriots tonight

Wish the Falcons could have had a chance to see him play in college . . . .
Really, as angry as I might get at the Falcons, I am starting to believe that the coaches drive the lineman employment and you have to fit the current coach's template of a lineman that fits the blocking scheme. So it's not necessarily the Falcon organization but that the coaches in the NFL look for certain type, in Andrews' case does not fit the majority. I did , however, believe and still do, that Andrews should be perfect for the zone blocking scheme.

Watched replay of Shriner's game. Thought Hutson did well except for is last play in which he decided to not try to fit a really tough pass in a tight window in the deep Red Zone. The announcers imo hammered that decision.

#5 that was not even their backup holder (I think it is Driskel) so your question is move valid than you thought.

Sounds like Spurrier would not fit the bill.
re: Herschel says it best

I watched the interview and did not have a problem with anything Herschel said. I did not hear him say that he never did anything wrong. I bet had Finebaum asked Herschel if he had been under investigation in '81 would he have had a problem with someone not voting for him, Heschel would say that would have been up to the voter.
As for any of you folks that were not around for the Herschel years, they were a whole lot different that the feel of Gurley on campus. When half the stadium would chant Herschel and the other side Walker for 5 minutes, it was amazing. Gurley is good but not on the cutting edge of change in the position. Walker was the beginning of the big back sized like a fullback with elite halfback speed.

BS. My inside source says Gurley signed memorabilia prior to the start of the season and the guy called him wanting more. Gurley turned down the request and the guy started threatening to turn him in if he didn't.

re: If our receivers have a big day Saturday against Candy

Only a blowout in our favor for the remaining games in the schedule will calm folks down and even then, it will only last 2-3 days.
re: How much do you want Mason to play on Saturday?

The past two years with Murray, all of our "patsy" games were too close to allow Hutson to get significant snaps.

I am an avid Mason supporter but would like him to go a full three and reserve the 4th for whoever is truly the #2.
One of my biggest criticisms of prior years is that we could never blowout opponents in order to allow backup QBs to get meaningful reps. We did that in the Troy game but we need to do that in the other games in which we are expected to do so.

Immediate correction could be made if they would just JOIN THE ACC.
