I spoke to Coach Huff, the HC at MGCCC last Friday. I asked him about Brandon Martin. He was very complementary of Martin but couldn't quit talking about Buggs.

You don't know what you are talking about. We are loosing games in the 4th quarter because of depth and time of possession. "The Franchise" knows what he is talking about. Dead on.

People on here that want Moffitt gone or do not think he is getting is done are not very smart. MOffitt is the GOAT of Strength and Conditioning. Anyone who has been through this program will tell you that. There are plenty to blame for LSU's short comings but Moffitt is not one of them.

He can play and is tough. Finished a game last year as a sophomore with a gash in his throwing arm in which he had to get 22 stitches after the game. His dad played at Tulane. I know he would be interested. Has played this year with two sophomore running backs and a very inexperienced O-line.

Then go watch the Texans.

dukke v it seems as if you know much less about football and the intangibles than anyone else in this thread. Please explain what you think you understand that makes you believe this game will be competitive. I believe I have a pretty strong understanding of the game and I cannot find your angle.
re: Are athletes allowed to ride motorcycles/mopeds/scooters?

They are not given to the athletes, they buy or rent them.

His Jimmy Taylor story is great. He wanted to play with a one bar face mask. The equipment managers tried to talk him out of it but he insisted on the one bar. He said Jimmy Taylor ran him over and he ran to get his face mask switched out.

Mr. Whittman was a great man. I was lucky enough to play for his son at Stanislaus. We truly lost a good one.
re: What's the news with Shea Patterson

Thanks most of you. Just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything. Is Sean really considering ole miss and why?
If he is a GA he has to finish grad school if he finishes why wouldn't we give him a spot on our staff?

re: Kevin Steele IMHO

I don't have too. This hire makes sense, doesn't have the wow factor that is important to fans with little to no knowledge, but I'm ready to see it work.
Kevin Steele IMHO

This was not the home run hire many of us (myself included) were expecting; but this was a solid single.
We get a proven recruiter and a guy that has coached with some of the greatest football minds in history. We don't need some defensive wizard, the defensive success at LSU should not be difficult to duplicate. In my opinion LSU covered all the basis in this hire, guy with NFL experience and knows the SEC West. Recruiting success should improve and who knows maybe we will see some pressure on 3rd downs.
Surely wasn't my first choice but I can see the rational behind how this can be a very solid hire.

I talked to his DB coach at MGCCC Monday. He said the guy is "NFL". This coach played 9 seasons in the NFL and currently has 4 DBs in the NFL. Curter is already groomed his former coach is flat out good and only coaching at MGCCC because he is from Stone County.
re: Let's talk QB, Justin McMillan, Cedar Hill, TX

Does McMillan give us any edge on Lodge? Haven't heard much about him lately.
