What had happened was… two cars that were filled with Canadians went to a family dinner, drank too much and stopped in the middle of the street to settle a disagreement at dinner with a little UFC round. One of the said Canadians called the cops when it got too intense. The cops showed up to the makeshift ufc throwdown and everyone calmed down except one fella that wanted smoke with the cops. Cops said no sir and dropped him like ATT drops a phone call from Port Hudson. Then, the ENTIRE FAMILY was called. Auntees, Grandmaws.. you name it showed up to have a fricking family meeting in the middle of the street. There had to be over a dozen family members show up to huddle with the 8 already standing in the street. Cops were laughing and nobody was seriously hurt. Just too much alcohol and a little family dispute on N. Oak Hills. No, they don’t live around here. LOL.

Is this really what went down? I have family there that is out of town so I’m curious to know.
I’ve been on the bottom of a dog pile. It was one of the more uncomfortable situations I’ve ever been in. That being said, I’d give just about anything to relive that night.
I truly believe the 2023 team sweeps. Honestly, this team was probably the worst of our championship teams. They overachieved though so I think it shows their heart and determination.

Why don't any of them have a title in football then?

I’m thinking you’re trolling but I’ll bite. What does that have to do with anything? Does Kansas, Duke and Kentucky not having football titles mean March madness is easy to win? I think most people would agree the basketball is the toughest to win.

These teams have won a national title in baseball since 1980: Arizona Arizona State Cal St. Fullerton Stanford Pepperdine Rice Oregon State Fresno State South Carolina Vanderbilt Virginia Coastal Carolina Mississipi State Ole Miss But, yeah, it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay harder to win a ship in baseball than football.

You left off a number of teams, off the top of my head, LSU, USC, Miami, Texas, Florida, Georgia.

Is the point you’re trying to make is that unlikely schools can win it shows its easier to win? I think you proved the opposing points. The fact that these teams can win shows it’s harder to win it.

Wait
Vanderbilt was the Alabama of college baseball at that point? I get that they were hot at that time but that’s still a big stretch.

You chose the Ump Cam view and you’re mad that you got the Ump Cam view?
They did at one point. I would think the umpires association asked them to take it down. Obviously they are less consistent than mlb umps.

I believe Ms. Lippi’s car is green.
Let’s go way back…

Tyler Hanover throws 100 across the diamond!

They’re young kids that most likely don’t have a professional future They will blow their arms and bodies out if need be. Cline would be on 5 days rest. It is amazing how soft baseball fans have become

I think the suggestion is that if they do pitch, they may not have their best stuff. I think everyone understands that most of the UALR type schools have kids that will lay it all on the line for these games. But just because they are willing to throw on short rest doesn’t mean they’ll be effective.
You’re going yo get a lot of down votes…but probably not as many as you deserve.

Lots of comments in the story on Facebook about the ghosts of slaves getting retribution. Miserable people.

According to my tour guide, the house was completed 1859. Not sure if slaves built the house but if not, there wasn’t much time for slavery there before abolition.
I just went there Saturday. Could have been me. But seriously, that maybe the nicest plantation home in the area. Its very extravagant compared to similar houses from that time.

Curiel AB

Everyone will remember the walk-off. But the Curiel AB was incredible. 2 strikes and he just fights. The one he hit was a great pitch, but he just knows how to get the barrel on the ball. He is special.
Why don't they make the whole plane out of Prince Rupert's Drop?
Remember that guy who says the 8th run is basically meaningless? What a buffoon.
