I just can’t imagine playing Squire creek and Metairie and coming away thinking Metairie is superior. Just me though! To each his own for sure

Squire has better topography, views, scale, lakes etc. Metairie has golden age architecture that you can’t find anywhere else in Louisiana. Anyone saying Metairie is better just prioritizes the golf course architecture.

Anyone have an update on current conditions? Thinking about playing it tomorrow.

You don’t think Rahm is happy to fly around the world to Korea two weeks before a major?

At least his buddies in Scottsdale can watch him at 2:00 am local time on FS1 now.

Very doubtful imo. Not sure what leverage LIV has outside of a threat to sign big players. At this point its clear they're not a viable league. Signing Rahm hasn't helped
The worst part for LIV was not even being on tv Saturday afternoon. I tried to watch around 3 and couldn't, but I'm sure it's coming the product is great and all and they have millions of caffeine tv views we're not counting. Or the youtubers will save LIV or something...

LIV needs to just die, no one is watching

DAT 4/24: Off Day Discussion

Since Walker started hitting lately and Hader has been excellent this year, I want to hate on Jim Crane for the Astros being the only MLB team to not offer a direct to consumer streaming option.

I guess espada is going to run down abreu and hader before august this year

Like I said though, it would be terrible for the PGA Tour to lose the YouTube golf guys to LIV…. Would hate to see Grant decline the invite to Barracuda

you're really grasping at straws, baw.

Quivira and Diamante Dunes were awesome. Diamante might be private, but depending on where you're staying they might be able to get you on.

re: Rory 2025 Grand Slam?

Wildly unlikely that he wins the grand slam

He's not even the outright favorite at Quail Hollow (+550 with Scottie at +500) despite being so good there. It's still really hard to win major championships. He just went a decade without winning one, he probably won't rattle off 4 in a row.

The biggest thing working in his favor is Xander and Scottie still not being at their best after injuries early in the year. Bryson and Rahm also didn't really have their games at Augusta. Those 4 rounding into form and peaking at different majors would make it a lot harder.

OP was made in January

How you think someone will perform in the future absolutely factors into how you “rate” someone. So calling someone overrated in January then having them win a signature event and contend at the masters in the next four months is a bad take

The Larry Packard signature. Packard designed the copperhead course at Innisbrook that hosts the Valspar every year. 14 is a pretty severe double dogleg

Assuming that's all we see from Framber, hell of an opening day outing.
Expectations are low but optimism is high. Pretty much the opposite of the last few years. If Cam Smith, Paredes, and Walker all click, Framber has a good year, Brown and spaghetti take steps forward, the pen becomes elite, and we magically find back end of the rotation guys throughout the year, then who knows. Seems like a lot of ifs that need to go right though.

It felt too firm and clunky around the greens to me. Couldn't get enough spin around the green so I stuck with the pro v1x. But the distance increase is noticeable. I keep a sleeve of left dashes in the bag and go to it if I'm playing a hole that I need a little extra distance on
The pros have played pretty fast the last couple of weeks. It was only really bad when they were sending threesomes off both tees. You’re just always going to have a traffic jam in that situation. The smaller fields without split tee starts in twosomes have played in around 4 hours
