Only saw this great man one time and that was in April 1959 at a track meet at Northeast Louisiana State College. The Styron twins (Don and Dave) were world class athletes and set many records in the 100 yard dash and hurdles. Saw this great athlete run a dead heat in the 100 yard dash with Dave Sty...
I remember LSU losing to Bud Wilkinson's Oklahoma team in the 1950 Sugar Bowl game by a score of 35-0. That game was the beginning of my great interest in LSU football. I think I was 13. ...

Sportswriter for the Dayton Daily News said that coaches like Saban and Meyer will have a harder time "poaching" players committed to other programs with the early signing period. Ergo - they probably won't like it....

I maintain - to my Buckeye buddy - the supremacy of the SEC over the Big 10 with this rationale; during the last 10 years or so, I believe that no less than 6 of the 14 SEC teams have been ranked #1 - at least once during the season - while only about 2 from the Big Ten can claim this distinction.
