JJ Controversy

There's no controversy... I think the consensus is that JJ sucks.
Hoorah Air Force!

Geaux Tigers! lol

because the game is over, time to move on and quit worrying about the past. The future is even brighter

That's exactly the kind of thinking that creates the divide in our fan base. You say it's over, to move and that we have a bright future. I say, how can you even think that after such a horribly coached game? That doesn't signal to me things are okay and will get better. I'm sorry, that kind of embarrassment sounds off a ton of alarms for me and a lot of other fans. The only way to put aside those concerns is for Miles to prove he can become a better coach because of it and learn something from it. That doesn't happen over night, it will happen when the team takes the field next season.
It's hard to explain for me. I want Miles and Co. to do well, but I have very little confidence in his ability. I feel on many occasions we have won games based on talent, and sometimes despite poor coaching.

I really felt this NC game would be the chance for Miles to cement himself and prove he's progressed as a coach. I thought he did well all season, and really hoped he could get over the last hump and beat Bama for a second time. He didn't, he not only lost, but it was a thoroughly embarrassing loss on the biggest stage possible in college football.

I'm not one of these people who can find solace in being 13-0 and winning a SEC Championship. I've always been a competitor, and have always appreciated that. I honestly feel the game was lost by the coaches before the team ever took the field. It was lost with the game plans, and Miles' stubbornness not do something different.

For me, I don't want Saban. Despite my reservations I wanted Miles to win and get over the hump, prove himself as LSU's greatest coach. He coulnd't do it, because he isn't. I may be wrong, but I think we may be heading for slide in production. I think within the next 2 to 3 years Miles will be gone. Why? There comes a point when not reaching your potential year after year becomes detrimental to the team and its psyche. Sure, we are lightyears from where we were in the 90's, but what does that really mean? To be the best we should aspire to be that and set the bar accordingly. If Miles rebounds and wins out next year, maybe that could redeem him for the debacle this year. However, if he fails, I just see that as the beginning of the end for him.

Recruiting is going to not be as solid when you have this much talent returning.

Wow! Really? Bama has just as much talent and it doesn't hurt them. Miles dropped the ball in the NCG and dropped the ball in recruiting this year. What's it going to take for people to start to see the writing on the wall?

Blame, Blame, Blame....

The only people deserving the most of the blame are the coaches. It's as simple as that. It was apparent Bama used the time off to scheme and coordinate a drastically different strategy to attack the LSU D. They learned from the Nov. 5th game, our coaches did not. So, this game was lost way before our players even took the field.

With that said, Jefferson stunk it up, but he should have been pulled from the game in the 3rd Qtr. Jefferson's repeated failures lie with Miles. The only reason this game wasn't any uglier than it was lies squarely on the backs of an awesome defensive performance. Those guys scrapped and clawed and kept us in it far longer than we should have been. My hats off to this team, they fought hard all year and it's a shame the people who were supposed to put them in the best possible position to win let them down.
Correction. He had a horrible career.
STFU this team was 13-0. The only quit on this team was with the coaching staff. That defense last night played admirably. Unfortunately, they got no help. So it's not the players, the problem is with Miles and Co.

Worst QB for LSU in my lifetime. Including Melvin Hill. (1975-present)

Granted he's bad , but I dunno if he's as bad as Marcus Randall. JJ did at least have some flashes of playing good. Randall never had any such flashes.
Miles is the biggest problem with offense. We've change coordinators and still the same unoriginal and predictable plays. Do these guys even gameplan? From the looks of lastnight, they must have taken a vacation over the last month while Bama's OC busted his arse scheming and gameplaning.

Poor JJ will live the rest of his life hearing boos in his head when he thinks about his last game as a tiger. How would YOU like that?!

I seriously doubt that. JJ only cares for JJ and no one else. Just listen to his interviews, he never takes responsibility. It's always someone elses fault. That's not the mark of a leader, that's the mark of a coward. And Miles is a dumbass for buying into him.

re: Nick Saban: The Greatest

The cupboard wasn't exactly bare when Saban got to LSU. Dinardo did one thing well while he was here and that was close the borders of Louisiana. He had really good talent, just couldn't do anything with it because of poor coaching and management decisions. Still, Saban gets his due for pulling things together and setting LSU on the right track.
Not all, but they boast a larger percentage than other fanbases.

2 national championships in 3 years.

WORST COACH EVER

Silly flamer, we're the only ones with a NC locked up this year. :nana:
I concur. While it's obvious the impact he had on our program, the way he left and his subsequent actions leave me with nothing but a severe dislike for the man. He's right where he needs to be a Bama, amongst his ilk. For the life of me, I can't understand the Saban sack riders. They must be new to the game and don't recall the way Saban bailed on us.

Dinardo was the one that started building the recruiting fence around Louisiana.

This... I remember the dark days, and Dinardo gave us a glimmer of hope and did rejuvenate LSU, without him and his recruiting Saban likely wouldn't have had as much success early on. If anyone deserves props, it's Dinardo. He often gets left out of the conversation because ultimately he lost control of the team. Still, he brought some really good talent to Baton Rouge and put in a lot of work on that recruiting fence around Louisiana.

Another reason we feel ESPN hates LSU........

There's no hate to it on the recruiting front, ESPN just has no freaking clue. Have you actually watched the ESPNU recruiting show? I could take two crackheads off the street, thow a rock between 'em and get more meaningful information.
