Go take a look at the average size of a point guard in the modern NBA and come back to me with this take.
This can be true and he can still be far below average at perimeter defense specifically.

Sometimes the “eye test” tells more of the story from purely a perimeter defensive perspective than his 1-2 steals a game skewing his defensive rating.

Our perimeter D might be pretty decent with Herb, Murray, Jose.

Can we stop pretending Jose is a plus perimeter defender? Dude gets exposed by any guard with legit size/skill.

I obviously acknowledge him being able to steal the ball(which does create value), but his perimeter defense is trash quite frankly.
No one ever suggests Couyon’s as a restaurant rec. I get it’s in port Allen(but only 10 minutes or so from campus if you pick and choose when to cross the bridge) but that’s top tier Cajun BBQ.

Anthony’s Italian Deli as consolation prize.

Ehret has been good for LSU(sans Reggie Wayne and Kordell Stewart).

And Donte Starks
This thread truly shows how little some people know about former Saints players, the Saints as a franchise, and the NFL in general.

For whatever reason in the NBA, when a star wants out, he has like 95% of the leverage, gets traded and usually exactly where he wants to be traded.

Just how it goes.

Which is one of the main reasons why the NBA is 4 out of 4 in terms of the main 4 sports in the US. The NBA execs and front office members should just boycott and let the players run the league into the ground themselves. Most players with any real pull get their way anyway, so why not just let them go wherever they want, whenever they want, and on whatever terms they want? I will never wrap my head around a player demanding a trade to one specific team. If I was the GM of the Nets for example, I would make it a point to not trade KD to the Suns. Would field the best offer possible, whether that offer was from the Suns or from a team like the Kings.
Campbell would be a live 4 seed imo if that were the draw. Seen them play a few times in person this year; their Friday guy is projected to be a 1st or 2nd round pick and their SS is projected to go top 20. They also have 4 or 5 guys with double digit HRs. Would be cool with that draw
Disagree with your first comment. I had a buddy who was a walk on for the football team who explicitly told me that an unnamed starter circa 2016(who was not good) was gifted a house at U Club during his time there as well as a debit card that never dropped below 5 figures.

quote:

sure, players were getting paid, but not as much since it was all under the table.

But the real problem is the combination of NIL and the immediate-play transfer. This terrible combo means players can literally go to the highest bidder, and play immediately next year.

The combo of the two is destroying the game.
I know it isn’t super centrally located, but I would love to see the Baseball Tourney in Pensacola where the Blue Wahoos play. That would make for an awesome early summer trip
Kira, on the other hand, looked awful tonight. Almost makes me think we hold onto satoransky if kira doesn’t show he can play quality minutes off the bench. He looked lost tonight and we were forced to put the ball in Marshalls’ hand which should never be the case
What tf do they plan on doing with Rosario when he comes back? Maybe he steps up if Soler continues to slump
quote:

Even if he doesn’t fit, he’s a better trade piece than anything we brought back,

So if he doesn’t fit and starts to dog it(aka like Bledsoe did last year) and plays bad basketball, how exactly would he be a good trade piece at 21-22 million a year
I don’t know if it’s “sponsorship coordinators” persay, but I do think SIDs of each sport or sports will have completely different roles in the coming years. There will no longer be a “traditional” SID role. I think NIL will change the scope of how SIDs are utilized and who is qualified to be an SID in the future.
I work in another athletic department in D-1. Universities and colleges will partner with 3rd party financial companies to teach student athletes how to manage and save their money they make off their name, image, and likeness. If anything, this encourages them to set themselves up for the future more so than not being able to profit off their NIL, especially those student athletes who do not make millions at the professional level.
I bit all of my fingernails down to the bone
I’ve been to 22 parks and I’m only 24, which is awesome I’ve been able to hit that many already

Top 5:
1)Camden yards
2)PNC
3)Petco
4)Suntrust
5a) Dodger
5b)Oracle

Bottom 5:
1)Oakland
2)rangers old park
3)guaranteed rate field
4)new nationals park
5)Angels stadium

Haven’t been to Tropicana, great American, chase field, wrigley, Kaufmann, progressive, brewers park(whatever tf they call that now) and citizens bank
Whatever spot they end up with, they should just take the BPA approach again. At 13, I had Kira and Achiuwa as the two best players available and was happy we went with Kira regardless of our somewhat crowded backcourt.I always am pro BPA especially if you land in the late lottery of any given NBA draft.
