The whorns are looking for a coach. :nana:
Hmmmm... TAMU continues recruiting top defensive talent = inability to field a quality defense?

Oh, ok. :bird:
Mack has always recruited talent based upon stars. However, he has done little in recent years to develop that talent once they arrive in Austin. I recall Muschamp bitching because Mack would not allow the defense to actually tackle during practice. In the end you have a very talented, wholly underperforming team. With different coaching, this Texas team would be good. However, I doubt they would be great with the QBs available to them currently.

In other words, Texas has been playing pitifully under their ability level.

And Bob Stoops shite the bed.
Ole Miss will demolish Texas. Does this years' Texas team have talent? Sure. Texas also had arguably more talent last year and still stunk up the Big 12 like hooker crotch. What the whorns don't have anything even resembling decent QB play, an identity or quality coaching. Freeze and his staff are something like a million times better than that arse clown Mack Brown and his revolving door coaching staff. Home field advantage? Meh. Quietest 100,000 fair weather fans in the country.

I never miss Koppe Bridge for a burger whenever I am in town. Place is just unbelievable. Of course, Tijuana Fries at the chicken generally go well with a pitcher of Pearl Beer.
SCRooster, that is one bad-arse cigar-smoking chicken in your profile caption. Try as I may, it is impossible to dislike (or even talk trash to) a cigar smoking chicken.

Not...fair....

Here, here My boy! I still think Mizzou would have picked the BIG over the SEC given the choice, but it is nice to share this opportunity with them.

Another round for the table!
College Basketball this season... :snoozer:
Again, are we talking "fans" or "students?" I speculate that there are not that many toothless, mouth-breathing redneck types enrolling in Fayetteville, College Station, Athens or Birmingham... the fans, however? Just pick a school. Any school with the possible exception of Mizzou (which feels more mid-western to me than southern) and Florida (which is located in Florida = Southern New Jersey). There will be plenty of redneck t-shirt fans.

Agree with other posters as well: Coon Asses are in a class entirely by themselves.
"One and done? has completely, totally ruined the sport. When you cannot hang onto players for more than a few years, you cannot possibly implement a team system at any fundamental level. Whether the NBA gurus want to admit it or not, but it has hurt their product as well. There is no development. Street ballers in, street baller out. :beatdeadhorse:
DD is undoubtedly the most scripted mess on television... and I actually like Phil. I have and would watch the Duckmen videos again. I would rather watch Mob Wives than DD. :banghead:

Thanks, Choctaw Hog.

Anyone who actually attended and SEC school and chooses to root/cheer/pander/arse kiss a Big12-2-2+2 school over another SEC team is a damned fool.

Classier than the land thieves? I could think of several.

However, picking sides must be a tall order for someone boasting SEC,Pac12 and Big 12-2-2+2 conference allegiances... if you know (casually or vicariously) anyone who has ever attended Notre Dame, passed through South Bend en route to Chicago or purchased a shirt featuring a green boxing midget then you can pretty much cover all rooting interests for the national championship game as well.

That is a good dude.
Still pretty young at the corners and secondary, although a lot of talent coming in. We plugged some holes on the front with a JUCO or two and have some talented young guys coming along.

We will miss Moore, though.

Damn.
As other posters have stated, the details are being held close to the vest until there is a formal determination on how the expansion will occur (in a multi-year phase plan, which is supported by the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce) or a single year build out (requiring the home games to likely be played at Reliant Stadium in Houston). There will likely be around a 100K capacity in order to create a sufficient demand to make the tickets a hot item. the higher the number of seats over 100K, the less cache individual game tickets carry and the more schools are tempted to flirt with corporate block sponsors.

In short, no one knows anything apart from the fact this will be a very nice, first rate expansion with a focus on LOUD.
