You're welcome & you're right.

The LHSLL has really stepped up their game with scores + weekly awards info on social media.

If teams can keep the info sharing rolling along the sport will continue to grow in LA.

There's a good chance we see 3-5+ new HS teams joining the league within the next 2-3 years. Steady growth will welcome to see.
Yes sir!

Mayhem is here.

The transfer portal & NIL really opened up the NCAA D1 landscape. This year is really the 1st instance we see much more parody across the bracket. A "blue blood" is still going to win it all but the 1st round is no longer an easy W for the Top Seeds.
Jesuit wins their 3rd state title in a row. 4 of the last 5.

VSN Highlights on IG

Newman with their 1st ever state title appearance, battled all game keeping the score tight. Jesuit leaned on their roster experience & St. Attackman Wilson F. who won his 3rd State Title Offensive MVP Award.
Coach George Hopkins is an alumnus of The Gilman School as well as D3 Franklin & Marshall.

He has lead Catholic to 6 straight semifinals & a state title.
For the last few years he has grown the CHS program to field a D1, D2, & Freshman teams. Here & there they even had enough players for a 2nd JV team.
He has also worked to develop strong summer lacrosse for Catholic High players.

I do no envy the individual tasked to follow him at CHS.
The most recent leadership in LHSLL has established some guidelines to help teams work to continue to build.

The main guidelines now is new/existing teams to join the LHSLL get 3 years to play on the D2 level. At the end of that 3 years they will then promote to D1. Waivers can be submitted to remain at D2 for another year or 2 which is voted on by the league coaches. Reasons to stay at D2 can be due to low overall program numbers, a large graduating class with mostly a small/medium sized underclass coming back, lack of school/institutional support, etc.
Schools with larger programs that are able to field a D1, D2, JV, & even a Freshman team are allowed to do so. In these instances, a D2 Team at a D1 school has roster limitations, primarily they need to treat it like a JV & not field seniors.

chools can choose to start with a freshman team & grow from there. In this instance, they can play a freshman only schedule or a hybrid freshman/D2 schedule or an all D2 schedule.

What the state is in dire need of is more middle school aged lacrosse that feeds directly into high schools. Holy Cross, Brother Martin, Shaw, & Rummel are at a particular disadvantage in the NOLA area with no direct middle school feeder system. So, they are essentially starting over every year or 2. Recently, Brother Martin seems to have been growing with a little more success in house.
D1 Final 4 Weekend got started Friday night at Catholic High with St. Paul's falling to Jesuit in a hard fought game. Jesuit heading back to Championship Sunday with eyes on their 3rd Straight State Championship.

Game 2 on the night featured Newman back in the Final 4 taking on Catholic in front of the Bears home crowd, whole the baseball series vs. John Curtis was taking place next door. Newman, led by 1st Team All East District Attackman Max Kukuy, started fast & kept their foot on the gas to outlast the Bears. Catholic Head Coach George Hopkins will be leaving to take over as Head Coach at his alma mater The Gilman School back in Baltimore, MD after 6 Straight trips to the Final 4.

1. No idea what that is

2. If you don't know whi Bill or Roger Creager are - then why enter this topic?

Real ones will know, care, & show the appropriate respect.
Post by Chelsey Creager announcing death

Bill Creager was an absolute legend. He always made special shows for Roger just that much better.

Cignetti is in hie sixties and seems to be doing just fine. Saban was in his sixties.

You think Indiana football players are taking in any actually significant NIL $...?
We'd need ALL the AD'S in the the P4 to come together on a move like this.

That said = performance based coaching is as fair as it gets/should be.

Here's the whole thing. Hit to out of bounds & the brawl starts at about the 56:30m mark.

Lots of language in the video...
Since you're going to eat on Thursday - do it at Tap 65 to help LSU Lacrosse.

Yezzir!
Let 'em know, TD!
I guess I should update this to a 1-2-3-4 Punch
How can you claim this with 102,321 singing it at the top of their lungs?
1. Set It Off
2. Swag Surfin
3. Callin' Baton Rouge

These 3 combined with the LED stadium lights & now the wristband lights = no one in CFB can touch Tiger Stadium.
Solid program. They are growing & going. They will get to a good girls participating level soon.
If I'd already met my insurance deductible for the year = I might play...

Best case right now is to drive over & enjoy the show.

If you're looking for something fun to do Friday night before Saturday's football action - go check out some fun lacrosse out at the UREC.
